Yep. Lafayette wrote his letter to his wife that he was leaving after he had left for America, he dressed as a pregnant lady to get into America.

If only this guy had more dialogue. He's one of my favorite characters in the game.

Gotta love Lafayette! The man was an unpaid volunteer who suffered through Valley Forge with George Washington’s men. The man was a hero of the Revolution just like Hamilton, Laurens, and Washington. Thank you France for sending such an awesome person to the colonies.

Don’t know why they made Lafayette seem so old considering he was, like, 20 at this point.

Lafayette’s lines in this game (about Paris) and his lines in the song “Yorktown” make him a genuinely good soldier because he learned what he can do in the Revolutionary War and bring it to France

It astonishes me why Unity couldn't even use French accents for an event as important to French history as the French Revolution when we already heard it in III, Liberation, Black Flag, and Freedom Cry. These games take place in well-known historical events and nobody ever complained about the accents whatsoever.

Because in Unity they were speaking actual French, translated into English (why translate with an accent). Here, Lafayette was just speaking English, so he has an accent.
