hi mkyeny9, welcome to my channel, yup, I am a PC builder myself, at times I get fustrated when I do not know the exact measurements, where I only have one piece of the puzzle, which most case will have measurement clearance. I have a few incident when I assume that the board will fit with a 280 Liquid AIO at the top, but often failed, resulting in changing my Liquid Aio to either mount at the front or to get a smaill liquid aio. This is just my idea to do a motherboard openview as it's my first time. I am gald you like my content and all the very best with your build. If both works as Single channel, try reseat both that is to the B2 and A2 slot. if it does not work. swap B2 to A2 rams and A2 to B2 rams. if it doesn't work, it could be unable to run this ram kit as dual channel. HI Elite Pauper, welcome back 😁, to be honest, undervolting is much better than to overclock. the AMD 7600X you are able to overclock but will need to increase voltage with PBO2, my opinion is to set the PPT, TDP and the EDC to default of the 7600X, set the curve optimizer to -15 to -20 (depends on stablity), next to do a vcore offset to negative 0.5v. Your 7600X will perform above default performance and the temperature will be lower too. This way you will prolong the life of your processor. By the way, just to share, ignore the MX6 thermal paste, just the method I share on how I apply thermal paste and this does benefit my viewers on their thermal result.. watch the exact time stamp of this content kzread.info/dash/bejne/qo5mtJarn6mXj7Q.htmlsi=vNe38CGd0tFNKEID&t=295 . Hello Cywlexeem Tacac, welcome to my channel. Hmm I don’t think I mention that in my video. I don’t think the PG board is inferior. Just that this board has more m.2 and have a proper vram heatsink at the side. As for other board. To be honest I am use to ASRock as it’s able to fine tune the pbo2 settings the way I want it plus it’s not over powered. To run a 7950x, all is needed is to have good vrm heatsink and for the vrm cap chokes, you only need 60a each to run. You don’t need to have over 60a. That’s for overclocking purpose which I don’t do. I do mainly in undervolting.

Hello YKR, welcome to my channel. This I am not sure how to answer you. For the first time when you unhook the level, it's to open up those hole pots. then place the CPU in. once you press it down, it will take a gentle bite of the CPU pins, next will be the retention being push down by the level. it will add a bit more torque to bite it firmly again in place but not to the extend of damging the pin. if you have not notices, if you continue to take in and out of the CPU, the bite will get weaker each time. That's what my personal experience is.

Hi Jame Boat, welcome back, you are absolutely correct to place the OS Drive on the first slot (M.2_1) and I believe space is of an issue so putting your gaming 2TB m.2 at second slot (M.2_4) makes perfect sense. The only difference in having the game drive to the 2nd slot, the speed is slightly slower in milliseconds, you won't notice it. Unless you are very particular about it then have the OS and Gaming program on your 2TB m.2, plug it to the first slot (M.2_1) and have the 1TB m.2 as a storage drive to the 2nd slot (M.2_4). To me the 2nd option does not really make sense as it's wasting the 2TB for storage. The choice is yours. This is based on the achitecture of this board from the instruction manual download.asrock.com/Manual/X670E%20Steel%20Legend_English.pdf (Page 14 of 72)

So far I like the steel series motherboards form Asrock as they are good quality and have features. In addition should there be a problem their RMA service is excellent. I used be an ASUS Fan but after poor Quality control and questionable RMA, I decided that Asrock is the better. Right now they have both the B650E Steel series on sale for $200 and the X670E on sale for $270. It looks like both of them have similar feature’s annd performance other than the X670E supporting more USB and SATA, having one more PCIe slot, dual NIC, and one more SSD m.2 slot. Honestly it seems like you can’t go wrong with both of them. To me honestly $70 isn’t to much of a difference to get the X670E one. However if I were on a strict budget then the B650E should be absolutely fine and the $70 could go towards getting a better GPU.
