I have aspins all my life. they are the strongest, most reliant and most loyal breed of dogs. i am deeply ashamed on some people of my country who treated aspins as being inferior because of their vanity and colonial mentality. thank you so much for featuring this beloved breed.

im in Philippines too i hate poeple that who abuse street dogs or aspin cause i feel bad for those dogs the feel the samw feeling when my aspin died when they hurt aspin dogs. the dog that we adopted is named luppy his just 8 months old then someone poisoned him.i cried when my cuosin said that are dog died then i cried for two hours he was a smart dog i teach him a trick for just 5 trys.i really love him i wish i he was still alive

Nothing wrong and everything right. In fact I am beginning to think that purebred dogs are the ones in the wrong because they don't have rich gene pools like aspins.

Coming from a Filipino, I can conclude that everything laid out in this video is 100% accurate. Aspin is just a low class dog for some Filipinos but for us, they are family for their never-ending love and loyalty to us. A rat attacked my cousin and my dog suddenly rushed to where it ran and almost destroyed everything in its way just to kill the rat. Everytime he sees the ratm he furiously chase it like a cat. Unfortunately, he just died this day. Aspin will not be your guard dog, but your bestfriend and a family till its last breath.

I'm a Filipina and my favorite dog breed is Aspin. They are very smart and very loyal. They might not be as strong as the other dog but they are brave and they will surely protect you if they see that someone wants to give you harm. They will protect you even if it causes their lives.

It makes me sad that my brother's family transferred to their new house leaving their asping and only brought the purebreed but makes me happy that the aspin is happy with me but is currently making me sad because I need to fly abroad and that nobody in the house cares her.

they live longer, rarely get sick, good with children, excellent guard dogs, independent and super loyal dogs

We have adopted an Aspin and we named him Tofu and now 6 months old. He is even smarter than my mixed spaniel x japanese spitz. Super hyper doggo and as a runner, Im loving his energy.

I'm from Australia now living in Davao. I've adopted an Aspin from the streets. Spot is the best dog I've ever had. Before I had Boxers and Australian cattle dogs but Spot the Aspin is the smartest and most loving and loyal. Sometimes I think he's becoming protective of my wife and I to reward us for showing him love. He uses body language to communicate with us. I'm amazed at how intelligent and adaptable he is. The more we get his trust the more his lovely temperament shines through. Very tolerant, gentle and never shows aggression. My wife's bodyguard!😂

One interesting fact about them he forgot to mention..... Aspians are like look average on camera but in person they look like straight from heaven......so innocent and beautiful :) Also, they have many human like features Like... 1) many times they sleep like humans,...u know like babies sleep with their mom and dad 2) mostly vegetarian, my dog eats banana, watermelon, mango, peanuts and sooo many veg things, i hardly see her eating meat which is great if you are vegetarian family 3) they are extremely loyal and smart, my dog....sometimes i feel like she can think lol, i mean i took her to exercise for 5 days, she got tired with that much running and now a days when i ask her to come with me, she follows me half the way, sees if i start running or walking, if i start running she goes like 5ft back and stand, watch me if i start walking then come with me otherwise keep doing same and get back home.......like she tells me, if u gonna walk, I'll come with ya, if no then get lost, I'm going back home 😂....or she understands when I'm gonna wash her or gonna pour water for her to drink 4) i can put hand in her mouth, or take her food while she is eating and she won't do nothing.....try doing that with other breeds 😂✌ 5) she quickly adopts who's person to trust and whom not to, like if we are home and someone comes and we welcome him, she puts that person in friendly list, she still won't go to that person when called but she won't bite or bark at that person 6) i had cat, now got one baby cat....and she plays with cats sooooo good, peoples always get amazed seeing them playing sooo friendly and take videos 7) if you tell her not to do anything, she won't....for example my mom has given her strict warning, no coming in home when floor is wet...she will never dare to do that 😂...neither we will, but that's different story xd 7) and she is sooo smart that if some strong dog starts barking her, she won't go unnecessarily to fight, she would hide behind something untill we are back....but she will go fighting if that dog tries to attack family member ;) Ny whole life time, I'm gonna have her breed only, i can't even imagine any other breed lol

My dog Choco whose also an Aspin adopts easily to people. Like there was this one time when a friend of my mom came to visit us and Choco was barking so agressively so my mom's friend asked for his name and I told him it's Choco, after that he called Choco and Choco just started wagging his tail and even jumping on his lap.

I used to buy pure breed but lately went for askals. Not only were they sturdy (and free of course from relative or friend) but they turn out lovely as well, especially if you give the care and affection one normally pours in for the "foreign" ones.

"There is nothing wrong with ASPINS." True!!! They are very loyal, smart and loving. We have 8 aspins at home (Bash, Smile, Kata, Waggy, Oso, Alfie, Luna and Cow-cow). If I have to choose between pure breed dogs and aspins, I will always and will definitely choose aspins. Sad to say, when I brought them in a vet, the doc asked me their breed, I immediately said aspin, but she just smirk and said we don't have that breed and put unknown to their records. I never come back to that doc again!!! I am a dog lover, not breed lover

Aspins live longer because of their rich gene pool. I am starting to boycott breeders because inbreeding can cause so many genetic diseases. Also I'd rather adopt than shop. Thanks for making this video!

I have 6 Aspins at home. They are very loyal and smart. They easily understand what you will say as if they're also humans 😁. You can never get afraid putting your fingers in your Aspin's mouth because they will never bite. They can be easily trained too!

i have a pet aspin i got him as a puppy about 5 to 6 months old we played every day but unfortunately we were buisy moving to a new house so i couldnt play with him any more after 2 years i got him back and he still remembered me my little sister just met him cause she was scared of him after 3 minutes of petting him they are best friends

To being honest i have 2 dogs in my house 1 aspin from philipines and one is shihtzu..my shihtzu she only a baby in house but my aspin shes a guard not only a baby she bring more happiness in my life i fell so happy and protected having her in my life i really love aspins dog they are loyal and they are willing to protected the person who adopt them..😘❤🐶

Aspins are pretty much mutts with a big heart. My first dog was a aspin, and she was the sweatest before she was killed while i was away. After years of being dogless, my mom gave me a dameranian (dacound and pomeranian with a mix of shih tzu ) who is now as clingy to me as any dog gets.

Since i was a kid we always have an aspin all our life and had 2 pure breed dogs got cancer and the other kidney failure in 10 yrs.Our aspin for some reason they didnt get sick to the point they need vet. Only once one of my aspin got sick and brought to vet and in one day recovered.very resilient and healthy, very sweet.

All our dogs ever since are all aspins, even though we can and we love to buy foreign dogs we settled to adopt aspins. They are very reliable and loyal, so very protective.

they're very nimble, and in most cases act more like hunting dogs than guard dogs. they're like born chasers (well technically all dogs are ).

Aspin is just unique, they can look cute and wild at the same time, the wild one can bit you and eat you

Aspin's are now North American Dogs as well with them being Present in most US & Canadian Metropolitan Cities. We got ours from the Bancroft/Bobcaygeon region of Ontario, Canada were they've been breeding them for years! With the pandemic more people are looking for alternative breeds as the Miniature breeds aren't available

A aspin or askal can't get adopted I guess i had a askal dog as well I just so him walking in the streets and came inside our house but maybe you can. Adopt one

Aspins are mutt or mixed dogs, not far from street dogs of russia, yet most aspins here in the philippines are not wild in nature, unlike russian street dogs. You should also look unto the "witch dog" of the philippines wich has been recently discovered, they have many perks,.

We got a new member and it's fully grown, no tag dog. We named him Lucky, the dog that barge in our gate and found us.

Filipino dogs in my opinion are one of the most intelligent canines. They're easy to train and they get matured when they grow older. They're also reliable house guards. It's a little bit saddening that those who have money prefer to pet dogs that are not from here while we have lots of stray dogs. I mean, I ain't blaming them for that but if they at least own some of the aspins, it could've been better. Some of them may have one but treated differently.

We raised 12 dogs and only one of them is a pure breed/ non-aspin. Love na love namin silang lahat. Super true yung mga characteristics na sinabi dito sa video, except they're train to be super friendly and non- agressive but sensitive during night time, I guess they're made to be our most loyal guard afterall. 😄

So true, so accurate! They are loyal to their owners, strong and protective..so fact they are allert and suspicious towards strangers. I think here in Philippines, it is normal to get a dog to guard your house. Tress passing robbery etc. ...Plss READ THIS.. My neighbor's dog makes me searched about dogs, & ended up watching this video. (We don't even own a dog, ever)I'm too curious about this dog our neighbor put Infront of our gate.. our neighbor are not much around, just sometimes came. And make our family feed the dog, because we feel sorry for her . Always begs for food loudly because she's deeply hungry. And she was ALWAYS tied around by the neck. There's 2-3 times she escaped, and was returned immediately.. there's a time that my mom cooked a rice/sacrifice a rice just to feed the dog(cuz we feel sorry). Even though the dog doesn't like rice because she's pregnant!! (I JuSt Found out!!) Makes me worry all the time, thinking about what to feed her.. sad to say she was getting malnourished because of how little she eats. Also thinking about the babies inside her.!..

Sorry to hear that.. I do not know laws in Phillipines, so it is hard to help, but maybe you can report it somewhere (to police for example) for animal abuse? If the dog is chained all the time and is not fed, than it would be considered as animal abuse here, where i live... Otherwise, you can give her dry food and water, that will definitely not harm her..

@@Rocadog thank you for your concern 🙂.. let me explain.. the dog belongs to our neighbor. And they (she) don't come here very much. Sometimes came to maintain her garden here and at the same time she also brings food for the dog, so that is also kind of her. And I think, it's normal here in Philippines to have a dog and tie them all time because that is a policy/law here, "aso mo, itali mo", which means, (your dog, tie it) tie up your dog. I think because when you don't tie your dog they get caught, and poisoned? -I heard... Despite of that, there are still many stray dogs here.. So I'm sorry if you didn't quite understand, cuz of my explanation wasn't enough. There are 2 MAIN REASON to have a dog outside.(I think) 1. They are guarding your house. 2. They (help) eat leftovers. ALSO here in the philippines, I think when your dog is outside, he is just a guard dog, not a pet dog(not going IN to your house).. About the dog, I thought of making him a bed, or something comfy, so that he would be comfortable and so when she gives birth(also for her babies).. sad to say for me, because I won't be able to take care of that first, because I have a lot modules to do(even though I badly want to make it first). but, I'm trying to keep up with making that bed despite of that. I wish i could just buy her what she needs, like food for her babies and a comfy bed right away, if I just have a lot of money, but we're not that rich..(and I'm just 14) and that's not our dog to do a lot of effort, but we're trying to do what we just CAN DO to help that dog. BECAUSE SHE GUARDS OUR HOUSE 😌. ALSO thank u for your reply.. I didn't really think of someone replying to my comment. And I'm HOPING.. so thanks.

My fur baby is an aspin. He is 4 months old in human age. My baby is so loving, playful and observant .. All listed are true and correct.

I have a lot of dogs and all are aspins but, I can say that they are loyal and very strong. They can protect their owner no matter what.

We had an Apin-Husky mix breed before. We didn't know what huskies were back then and wondered why she looked weird.

How can I get them? I met two beautiful aspin dogs and we played a day and night. They would come over to my dad's house so we could play.

My aspins is so sweet and she Protect my family while im not around i love her shes my hapines my everything shes loyal i never regret having her in my life im so inlove to my fur baby aspin i give her a name bantay😇❤😘

Thank you if you love an aspin dog she or he Probably loving you back than loving herself..i plan to get 5 aspin in the philipines soon as posible because they are free and they are homeless they deserve love and family..
