Never say never. Probably they will make A10 when significantly better graphics would be created on mobile devices, so a completely new game would be justified. So far, A9 still has amazing graphics for mobile. Meanwhile, A8 looks dated.

@@Mindphaser1 A9 is a 2018 game, mobile certainly has much more potential for much superior graphics. They won't make any new Asphalt because they don't have the money to do so, Gameloft is dead and all they can do is Milk Asphalt 8 and 9 to survive. Simple.

Lol right I still remember watch the teaser first time back in the days and really disappointed I can't play the game because my phone is such potato back then, until finally I get a job and saving money to buy new phone and finally I can play

absolutely the right decision. i really hope they will start giving to new player more advantages after the unite release. it would be great to see a lot of new people getting into ashpalt... more competition and more players in our club communities

tbh asphalt 9 despite being 5 yr old already,still look really fresh for its age,still feel like a new game compare to other game,both in term of physic and the gameplay overall,really no arcade racing on mobile have quite the same feeling as a9 and the game doesnt even show sign of being oudated anyway oh and happy birthday lol

There won't be any merge. It's like an Asphalt 9 update, whatever you own in A9, you'll own it on Asphalt Legends Unite

I hope this update in July will make the game more relevant with the other titles on their way out of development. It would be interesting to see Racing Master launch a version on PS4 and 5 which would also make the other mobile distributors to push their products to be more accessible and competitive.

Ok but hear me out, maybe A9 Unite could be the final game of the saga, but what if it's the final game of the MAIN saga? What if they actually develop another game but as an spin-off, like what they did years ago?, it would be nice if the dev team continues to develop asphalt nitro 2, game that for some reason was abandoned, it's a game that's already made so they don't have the need to start from the scratch, maybe develop a sequel to asphalt Xtreme, probably the second most popular spin-off right behind Asphalt nitro ( seriously, I love that game, for me it's the best spin-off they relased), or maybe make something entirely new.... another reason could be that, if gameloft makes an asphalt 10 they will have to think about new game mechanics, otherwise if asphalt 10 is the same as asphalt 9 it doesn't make sense. so they have to change the gameplay like they did with the change between asphalt 8 and 9

GL would lose so many players if they decided to scrap A9 for a new game. Many players spent a lot of time and effort (and some of them money) and they would have been really pissed off to lose their hard earned garages. Thankfully they took the right decision.

I remember when asphalt 9 came out and thinking it was going to be another difficult pay to win game, so I never started paying until August 2023. Now I spent so much money on car-cards that I can't stop playing now😮‍💨😮‍💨😬😬🥴🥴

GL brought the best solution. Imagine yourself watching your money go away in a completely new game. I would be very upset and maybe I wouldn't even play anymore, because worse than the money spent were the long hours spent to achieve things in the game. Only those who play honestly know what it's like to build an 18 million garage in two and a half years.

Good video, congrats! GL took the right decision to expand A9 rather than making A10. All the hard work to make so many digital cars, locations, items will not be lost. Also the hard work of A9 players will not be lost. I can't imagine starting again from scratch; I would simply quit Asphalt forever.

About the thoughts on getting new Asphalt game... I think the remake Asphalt 9 (Asphalt UNITE) can last for another 10 years. When Asphalt UNITE announced, I finally understand why Gameloft stop developing this game for 32-bits devices. Let's see the graphics first. Real time reflection and major graphics improvements, it is like they gonna install a "RTX software" into the game. Can guarantee this application will required better devices. Next is game engine. I'm not sure the game engine are actually same as the graphic engine??? But great example like PUBG Mobile and PUBG New State. When PUBG New State released, there are a lot of low-end devices cannot support the New State, and of course, even high-end phones have overheating issue due to the engine they use is Unreal Engine 5. Another point for why Asphalt UNITE can last for 10 years. I believe the new engine they use probably will change the entire game, especially the physics, and Asphalt UNITE definitely will be a heavier game compared to current version. My thoughts, yeah it is very long and probably most of them has no point (?)😂 But that's all what I got.

as a free to play player, I can say that asphalt 9 is not that ptw at all, I have been progressing really well in the game and I haven't spent a single sent yet

It'll just become like other esports games where they'll last decades and be kept alive with new events, cars and content etc. Like dota, lol, rocket league, trackmania and rocket racing etc. Calm down. the game isn't going to die, peeps.
