ASP - Krabat (Lyrics Deutsch & English)

Музыка

► Für die Liebe meines Lebens. Mein Herz erkennt dich immer! ◄

► For the love of my life. My heart will always see you! ◄
The legend of the wizard Krabat takes place at the end of the seventeenth century in Lusatia (today located in the German state of Saxony). Drawn by several dreams, the Wendish beggar boy Krabat is lead to a black watermill near the village Schwarzkollm, where the miller takes him into apprenticeship. Soon it turns out that the mill is in fact a school for Black Magic and the Master is bound in a pact to the devil. Unable to escape, all that remains for Krabat is his secret love for the Kantorka, a girl from the village.
There are several literaric adaptions of the legend, among others Jurij Brezan and Otfried Preußler, whose version was made into a movie in 2008.

I'd like to that you for also putting the English lyrics to go with the German. It lets me not just enjoy the music but the story as well.

Maybe a bad idea, because some vocabulary is really outdated... for example, most Germans don't know what "Unterpfand" means because it is a word we rarely use in modern German anymore.

the chorus is basically anexplaination as to why so many characters in my books or fanfictions can do at least some sort of shape shifting: anonimity. shape shifters can hide from someone in plain sight, they can even just walk up to them and speak with them, and noone would know. if i was in a situation where someone would grant me a power to fight evil, and other than that i could use it as i want, i would go with shape shiting. not the boring version where i can just turn into other humans, though. i wanna fly through the air as an eagle or a raven, or swim through a lake as a fish, or just do something else.

How about turning into a T-rex, Reaper, (You know those half organic half synthetic creatures in Mass Effect.) or a Flood Gravemind? (You could be a monument to all their sins.)

***** If you are a Gravemind then you could build an army and speak in an epic voice (rhyming optional), same with the Reaper you would have a Kinetic Barrier and other things. (Like the ability to turn the corpses of your dead enemies into Husks and other things.) Or you could be a Zerg, Protoss, Sangheili, Tau, Eldar, Ork (Note the 'k' because it means that I am referring to the Orks of Warhammer 40k), Scrin, Klingon, Krogan, King Ghidorah, and so much more just think of your favorite anime, movie, cartoon, or game species or unit and you could be it.

kabob 007 that would be cool, i know. but turning into a Makuta or Morbuzakh would definately result in at least 3 nations trying to A: dissect me B: nuke me from space C: catch me and use my powers for war D: all of the above therefore, i would rather keep such abbilities secret and only turn into things commonly found in my location.

The half of the Lausitz is part of Brandenburg. The other half belongs to Saxony. The two parts are called Oberlausitz and Niderlausitz. But I think ths story is from the Niderlausitz. You could translate it as lower lausitz.

Yes, the saga plays around the city of Hoyerswerda. Its part of the lower Lausitz and so part of Saxony.

Why do I think of a woman who is a powerful, effective military officer of an army that is both WW1-like and modern-like vs a long-living German wizard who has captured her and made her her slave? Makes me think of a story about that woman trying to get free from him, even though she has feelings for this long-living German wizard who is handsome by the way.
