Got a haircut in Qatar, just electric shave because I’m bald. Guy gave a massage like this, was so unexpected and they only charged me $6. I handed him a $20 and said the rest is a tip. The guys eyes filled with tears and he hugged me. Was a truly humbling experience.

This is standard in most Middle Eastern barbershops and India as well. When I was deployed and got my hair cut they would always do this. I was like ummmm wtf then just learned to get over it. Sometimes it was rough and was more like a beat down.
