In a way it makes sense. Put it on the forward cam and you will always know what is and isn't in view for all the vision tests. Yes, most digital cams have a screen. Not all of them turn tot he front and most is not all, don't have a screen as big as a more recent iPhone or Android. I hadn't considered any of this until I saw the reflection. PaulArtwork, when he did videos, at one point was using a laptop so he could watch himself.

Never used a laptop. Always the iPhone.

I swear there are other ASMRist with HD cam and some expensive mics... But they can't match your quality that you make from just a phone 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

He has authentic equipment and knowledge, a wonderfully relaxing tone and accent to his voice, and seems natural. So many spend money on cameras and mics, and they do a decent job, but their role plays are not convincing because they use equipment they can buy at a pharmacy (stethoscopes, and otoscopes), and flashlights and they can’t speak authoritatively about the eyes. I love light..it’s one of my best triggers, but I’ve yet to see an ophthalmologist or optometrist who just points a flashlight at my eyes and makes me follow his or her finger and calls that an exam. I love this channel, and highly recommend him to those I know who enjoy ASMR.

@@MrBuddybones the light reaction and finger following test is more of a generic doctor test than an ophthalmologist: they are testing nerves to see if they are reacting properly

@@dakeyress yes, I know. But some of them label that as an eye exam or cranial nerve exam. I’ve been watching these for years, and (as I said) thought they were decent. But they pale in comparison to SRP. It was a complement meant for him. Thanks

Another perfect video from Dr. SRP. The moment you turn the lights back on reminds me of the moment I realize my trance inducing eye exam is coming to an end, and I wish it would last longer. But I don’t have to go through that any more, because I can come home and watch one of his excellent ASMR videos. Thank you, and I hope you don’t tire of making these videos, or that if you do you don’t take them down like some defunct ASMR artists have (i.e Paul Artwork ). Pls dont try to „improve“ your audio quality, like a lot of asmr channels do. It ruins the mood, makes it feel more like a studio production, rather than a authentic experience. Background/whitenoise, random sounds and „average“ microphones add to the athmosphere and make feel a lot more natural, at least in my opinion.

I totally agree. Although his audio and video quality has vastly improved from when he first started, it’s at that perfect level of quality. The extremely high quality audio takes away a lot of the effect for me. Most of our experiences of ASMR are from childhood that is unintentional, e.g. being at the opticians or having your hair played with, and the movie-like quality really takes away from that. I think SRP has struck gold with his content and it’s shown with how quickly he’s grown. He truly understands ASMR! ☺️

SRP is doing wonderfully regardless, but on this subject I personally would LOVE a stereo experience so I could be more fully immersed between what side he's on in relation to me. For his purposes, probably using two separate mics to this end would be easier to move around. Of course it is not the place of a viewer (or an appreciative content creator in this case) to pressure another content creator to purchase anything beyond what is decent, and he is definitely recording and uploading beyond decent quality. These are simply my preferences, and I'm positive I'm not alone. None of these opinions will stop me from thoroughly enjoying his already wonderful content! (note: I use good headphones and amp with noise canceling so my experience is capable of translating sound depth most listeners probably don't have, that's my preferred experience) Please excuse my complete and wordy opinion, but big thumbs down on this comment

I do always love the slow move normal to more outlandish thumbnails every ASMR youtuber goes through, but these are some of my favorites! Keep up the good work SRP!

man you are my go-to asmr these days, you got the je ne sais quoi. and these goggles make you look like a mad scientist gently experimenting on us which is just excellent.

Just taking this chance to say thank you for the videos. I listen to them for hours a day whilst I work to keep my anxiety in check. I normally stick entirely to unintentional asmr but your videos are fantastic. Look forward to the next one

@@SRPASMR 100%! I like soft spoken for watching along but inaudible and super gentle whispers reallyyy trigger my ASMR and knock me out. I think it's easier to fall asleep when I'm not trying to pay attention to words? But like I said I genuinely love all of your videos, theyve been a godsend during the pandemic and quarantine :)

I think I speak for everyone here when I say your audio is absolutely on point. The visuals are amazing as well, but your voice is so soothing and it comes over so well. My only criticism is that you're in Brum and I'm in Glasgow, so I'm not allowed to travel and also can't get my free eye test from you. A small complaint ;) You're brilliant at this.
