I'm really enjoying this. 😊 My favorite part of the season is roasting the seeds. I do a different recipe every year. A favorite is taco seeds. Toss the seeds with some oil first, then sprinkle with taco seasoning before roasting. Chili seasoning, or salt and powdered vinegar is great too. My favorite though, is tossing in sesame oil, then sprinkling with garlic and Turmeric powders. Simple, but SO good! Thank you, and Happy Halloween! 🎃🦇👻

Wow the pumpkin came out so good! Your table and everything is set up so pretty for Halloween and the Fall season. I love carving pumpkins but it does tire out your hands and wrists as you said in the video. It came out perfect! And the candle holder is so cute. Watching you carve reminded me of a very very dear and cherished memory of my childhood during the summer holidays, when we were at our granny's village and we'd carve pumpkins to create little cows, and we'd put on matches for legs and eyes 😁😁They 'd eventually turn out so cute and funny and we'd play with them all day long... Oh, good old days. Thank you for unlocking that memory for me! Though it has absolutely nothing to do with halloween .

Oh good! I’m glad it brought back some good memories for you, Sorina. It certainly does for me. Every country has a different way of celebrating harvest time and the changing of the season. What do people do in Romania? Did everyone do the same things that you and your family did? What I read is that all different kinds of traditions got started along the way through time. Halloween especially upset Christians wayback when so they tried to change the meaning over the years and succeeded quite a bit from what it used to be. The origins of halloween weren’t even called halloween. I’m thinking you probably read up on this stuff already. But here’s an article anyway in case you haven’t. www.history.com/topics/halloween/history-of-halloween I doubt this article was written by Christian people but I found it quite interesting. Nothing derogatory was directed towards Christian people for trying to change it. If halloween was still like it had been ages ago, I would have nothing to do with it. @@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Hi Becky! Sorry for answering late. Here in my country we don't celebrate halloween and we never have. Instead we celebrate our beloved ones who went to Heaven . We don't have a specific date, this year the date of this celebration will be on 5 th of November - always on Saturdays, as a reminder of the moment Christ spent in the tomb before resurrecting. For this celebration we bake certain foods and pastry then we put them all in a basket and we go to church , where we place our baskets on especially arranged tables in order to be sanctified by the priests after they perform the holy service in memory of our beloved ones in Heaven. It is an extremely important tradition for which we spend a lot of effort and energy. So you can imagine how terrible this halloween sounds compared to our most holy celebration of our most beloved departed. I did research about the origin of halloween a few years back when I wanted to teach my kids about its dark hidden , untold and kept secret aspects.halloween has never been a Christian holiday. Us Christians have always celebrated 'all hallows eve' - the day of all our Saints - , and the day of special prayers for our departed. It saddens me deeply to see that even here in my country the morbid aspect of halloween has already attracted a lot of disturbed youngsters who start painting themselves as demons with horns etc instead of putting an effort to bake for the departed souls in their families, who are said to be waiting for our prayers in that special moment. Sad sad sad. Lord have mercy on all of us...

I know I say this to you all the time but I just love everything you do. ❤ You help me sleep or relax and just watching your videos helps me with anxiety.

I was actually worried about not being loud enough. I don’t think I had to take the volume down on any of this video. But I often do that in most of my other ones. volume up here volume down there volume up here volume down there 😂

That cannibalistic pumpkin turned out perfect. Those creepy crouching kittens are a nice touch, too.

Another great video. Hint: You should cut the pumpkin at the bottom and clean out from there. Easy to put over a candle and the pumpkin retains it's stalk handle.

Avery and I have definitely bonded. Whenever we get to see each other there is a lot of affection. You’ve never seen someone carve a pumpkin! That is amazing! Well, honestly, I hadn’t seen anyone do it since I was a kid. Except for one time last year on a video. But I used to do it when my kids were little. I think I roasted pumpkin seeds with them also. Just to give them the same memory I had. I had such a good mom. Looking back. You made me laugh, Lia! I should’ve said pumpkin murderer. 😂😂🎃🎃🎃

Why do you celebrate Halloween?

I guess it matters to me what you call celebrating. I do not join in any witchcraft or evil spirits. The dark side of halloween stays on that side. The watered down Americanized version of halloween is very simple. We dress The kids up in costumes and go trick-or-treating. That’s it. What’s in your heart changes everything. I was raised in a Christian home yet my dad took us out to collect candy in costumes. We dressed as clowns and ballerinas, etc. Halloween is a very controversial subject for a lot of Christians. We would have to have a more in-depth conversation for you to understand where I’m coming from.
