George Orwell was doing the social experiment of living on the streets long before the Australian TV series "Filthy Rich And Homeless" did it. "Down And Out In Paris And London" was the result. Bryan Adams said it was the book that changed his life ("I give money to people on the street now. Maybe the book had something to do with that"). I'd read it before seeing "Filthy Rich And Homeless" being advertised and just thought: "George Orwell already did that."

Lots of penguin and Wordsworth classics. Every time I went to London I bought at the end of the trip (with the remaining pounds) Wordsworth classics (around 1 pound I think) so I have a nice collection. Yes indeed, London is my favorite city and the first trip with my boyfriend (now my husband) 30y ago. My favorites are Dracula and Jane Eyre.

Interesting that you are showing these classics. I am just finishing your reading if Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. So well done. It got me looking into your earlier readings of the classics. I hope "some day" you are able to return to finish some such as Wuthering Heights. We appreciate you. ☺️
