[ASMR] Let's Create a Dungeons & Dragons Character! (Soft Spoken, Dice, Page-Flipping, Writing)

Hey, hello, hi!
A while back (during that 8 day long break) I had attempted to make not one, but two (!) different DnD character creation videos. Non of them were successful, but I liked the idea and stuck with it, resulting in this here video. What can I say? I had to indulge myself a bit!
In this video we wil make a Dungeons & Dragons character from scratch, including a randomized backstory, rolling for stats and some random bits of information for people who might not know that DnD will be their future hobby (yet!)
Just as a warning... As tends to happen when a video goes on for a while I can get a bit.. hyped? Well, if your main goal is relaxation and you don't like ramblings, the first half of the video is likely more suited for you than the later part. I do think there is value in the second part as well, especially as there are some nice and triggering phrases to be found, but just thought I would warn you because I care!
Oh! And misunderstood "Expertise" at one point! Never played a rogue or bard, so that whole concept was kind of new to me. Realized this after editing.
Okay, I am done. Sleep well!

This channel primarily focus on ASMR, or "Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response", a reaction one can have to certain sounds and relaxation. For more information I recommend looking it up on Wikipedia, or just watch and see for yourself! If you are already interested in the topic at hand, I strive to make all sorts of ASMR videos, but perhaps with a bit more focus on the nerdy side of things and just being me (an obessive WoW player and DnD enthusiast). Hey there. I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed the two DnD videos you published. I'm pretty picky with ASMR, and listening to you has been very relaxing. You deserve a lot more views and subs. Hope all is well, and thank you!

It means a whole lot to hear that the DnD videos worked well for you! I have been considering doing yet another one of those quite soon and this definitely does help to motivate that! I am not certain of the exact video will be yet, but keep your eyes open! Thank you so much for the uplifting comment! All is well here and I hope the same is the case for you! Take care!

I'd make this character a shady traveling circus magician. It just all fit so well. Good video.

That is always the biggest struggle! Thankfully with so many streams and videos out there, it is usually quite easy to sway more open minded friends into picking up the hobby! The issue is just to get them all free for hours at a time on the regular, but at least it can be very rewarding! Alternative is always to do it online with other people looking for a group. Happy you like the video! Good luck!

I'm so very happy to hear that it hits the spot for you! I have myself been looking for similar sort of content, which was the thing that made me go back and think "maybe I could make something like this myself", leading to that video being made! I am on sort of a youtube break at the moment due to slight burn-out, but should most likely be back on track again during this month. Seeing as I love DnD, you can be assured that there will be more of that in the future as well, including one video idea I have been thinking about doing for a fair while ^^

I was wondering how the process goes the moment i seen your collection before, at least when it comes to some rules of how its played and all the sheets needed which i have no clue about so glad i can now see in its glory yay! And yes… the never ending mess with words and how they sound the same even though they mean different things is pretty much always there with English the most but probably majority of languages, it can be confusing probably even for native English people x )

I was hoping to shine some light on that process, although I technically speaking could have been more educational. I was quite afraid that the video would be way longer if I did though, and the people working with construction outside my house just so happened to have a break for lunch and could have started up at any moment there >_ I do not doubt that even native speakers can face those sorts of problems, yeah. I mean, I mess up in my own language more often than I should, but that might just be me being me! Word-sallad is always the most fun to edit (not) because it is way too frequent when speaking day to day, but when nervous (as I usually get before the camera) it gets way worse! And anyway, words - what even are those? xD

One of my favorite characters I played was nonbinary. Aetherborn from M:tG in the plane shift supplements are created nonbinary & can choose their gender if they would like.

Didn't know about that DM can kind of make a character for you, using random. Cool thing for new players actually. Hope i can get to DnD someday and write my own stories for players or epic sagas of my own characters. Ah, the dreams... Sometimes they beautiuful, sometimes they horribly scary.
