As for a video idea, I think they make some solo D&D adventures. Playing through one of those with Doric or another character would be a lot of fun and could create multiple videos for your channel.

@@asmrnerdkingdomYou sure did. One thing I noticed on your Doric character was you forgot to add your Dexterity Bonus to your To Hit and Damage rolls for the sling(shot). Dex is always added to ranged weapons. So your sling stone would cause 1d4+3 damage.

@@thundercat8601 Good to know!! I added my proficiency bonus only, so would it actually be +5? +2 for proficiency and +3 for Dex? Unless I’m not actually proficient in simple ranged weapons… (it only says simple weapons 🤔). But, she seemed pretty accurate with her sling shot so I’m going to decide to keep both proficiency and Dex hahaha

@@asmrnerdkingdom Yes, +5 is correct. Dex bonus is always added to ranged attacks and damage, just as Str bonus is always added to melee attacks and damage. And all characters are always proficient in the use of all simple weapons, so your proficiency bonus is always added when using those weapons.

It’s 1000x easier to use the Character builder tool on the D&D Beyond website! But it IS possible (and not very hard) to do it by hand using just the Player’s Handbook. Be ready to do a lot of reading, the book is good at going through all the motions step by step. Plus I’m sure there’s plenty of KZread videos that are proper tutorials in case you get stuck. Best of luck!!
