~Answers for FAQ~
1. I have been living in Japan for several years now. I'm a first SPA reviewer in Japan, entrepreneur, digital content creator and professional exercise avoider haha
2. For privacy, I prefer to keep my ethnicity, real name, address in private. You can call me Twix!
3. Why "Twix"? Me and my sister work on the channel together. As you know Twix chocolate bar has 2 pieces. My sister AKA Camsis is behind the camera. So we thought it would be fair If I add my sister's name. So that is how ASMR Twix is born.
4. Camsis prefers to work behind the camera. I hope you will respect her decision. Please don't worry about Camsis! She gets her own sessions off camera whenever she likes.
5. I don't get treatments as often as I post them frequently. I balance treatments schedule considering my skin and health condition.
6. I don't upload "Whispering" and "No talking" videos. Only Soft spoken!
7. All the places I show on this channel are not sponsored, they're collab videos. I have collaborated with more than 150 beauty and health establishments in Japan. When I get sponsorship, I mention it as sponsored according to KZread sponsorship terms and conditions.
8. You can visit all these relaxing places on my channel. 90% of the time there are special discounts or sometimes special gifts just for my subscribers. Mention "ASMR Twix" when booking and in the beginning of your session to use it. Please read the video description before booking to avoid misunderstanding.
9. Many of you worry about hair types, language barrier or just being nervous. BUT we always make sure to ask about these concerns in the videos. All of these places are foreigner welcomed spa and salons. All require booking beforehand!
10. How to book? Book via Instagram, website or phone call beforehand. Instagram is easiest and fastest way of booking in my opinion.
11. 80% of these spa and salons are women only. Sorry but that's not my fault and I hope you will respect their decision. But male customer can visit with female partner/friend in most of these places. Please make sure to check it whether it's women only spa or not. Easiest way of asking is sending a dm via Instagram!
12. Do I have any other social media? I upload self care, funny and more Japanese cultural content on Instagram too! Follow me on @asmr.twix / asmr.twix
13. My P.O. Box:Japan,Tokyo, Shibuya-ku, Dougenzaka 2-15-1, Noa Dougenzaka 309 room
Name:Sakura Nippon

    I realize this is random- ha. But there is an episode of greys anatomy that they have a room like this for the doctors (and I think patients too) to use as a “relax” room. It basically calms you down (scientifically) with the colors etc. It’s interesting how relaxing it really is even just watching this!

    I just experienced this spa today in Osaka! I made sure not to fall asleep so I didn't miss a single minute. My spanist was so considerate and skilled - the videos do not completely convey the experience. As certain trigger points were pressed, I could feel the change in my heart rate. I had the 90 minute menu which was head, shoulders, and face. All three areas were covered about 4 times, and at each rotation, I could tell that each area would get more relaxed and loose at each pass. This was my husband's first ever massage, and he was nervous for the first few minutes, but became comfortable once the spanist completed the first round of shoulder massage. I absolutely would recommend head massage for someone who has never received any personal services before. I speak no Japanese, but after watching Twix for around 3 years, I exchanged Yoroshiku Onegaisemas' with my spanist before the service began, and she was tickled and gave me a big smile. *Thank you, Twix, for teaching us that phrase. I have used it with my Japanese tour guides, and they have each been so appreciative. ❣

    This is why you’re the best Twix/Cam Sis… I love both the treatment AND the whispering. I don’t get that from other channels when it’s just the massage itself. They too are wonderful, but you are my favorite 👏 and my Go-To! The whispering/explanations really enhance the relaxation experience! Keep up the amazing work ladies ❤🎉

Yu - San has a relaxing voice and appereance! She's so sweet and really cares about her customers! I also appreciate that she mentioned even foreigners are always welcomed, no matter from where they come. I am a german native and we don't have this luxury Spa's like they have in Japan

    13:30 the fact that they are considerate about guests who may be self-conscious about their make-up is ❤. This is actually a huge reason I've never had a facial. I suffer from terrible acne & would hate to ever be in a position where I would have to leave a salon and travel home in public with no make-up on. I wish more salons offered the use of powder rooms, so the self-conscious people can reapply make-up before leaving.

    I think the reason why they don't offer it might be because the skin needs to "breathe" after all this cleansing and make up would clog the still open pores but if it's just a massage i don't know why they don't offer it tbh

  • @johnloverman

    @johnloverman

    but the skin wouldn't be able to breathe after all that agitation/products being added. maybe salons should offer take home kits that come with instructional videos on how to apply remotely?

  • @hamsmith2126

    @hamsmith2126

    So the reason it’s not the best to apply makeup after a facial is because your skin has been cleansed and products have been applied to your skin and are there to be absorbed. Putting makeup back on, means you need to remove the makeup at home again, which means you’ll be taking off all that amazing product and makeup can block pores, blocked pores is a contributor to acne. So it’s best not to reapply makeup. Also if you have acne, it’s best to use a milk or gel cleanser, no foam cleanser as these tend to strip the skin. Some acne users like the feeling of squeaky clean skin, however this can lead to more acne. Because your skin will be tricked into thinking it needs to produce more oil as it no longer has any good oil on the face. So the skin goes into overdrive and produces more oil which means more acne. So use a more gentle cleanser. And you need to apply a serum (a vitamin B serum) is amazingggg for acne sufferers. It will regulate oil flow, slow down oil production which means less acne! It will also help to restore you skin barrier, the outer layer of your skin which is compromised from the acne. Once that is restored from the vitamin b, the lil eco system on your face will be happy and be a good environment. And lock in the serum with a moisturiser. One that doesn’t have a lot of artificial fragrance or have alcohols. But also, acne can be from hormones ect and not just treating topically is the only answer, but it will definitely help! I’m a beauty therapist by the way haha, so i thought I’d just give a lil but of advice. Hope this can help in any little way 🥰 Check out the KZreadr Cassandra banks! She used to have really painful acne but she treated it and has alot of great advice on how to deal with acne!

    Another great video❤ thank you twix! Watching your channel has inspired me to learn japanese and now I can understand some of it 😊 but I will probably not read it for a very long time, the hiragana katakana and kanji systems are very confusing to me 😅

    Okay...but why do I NOT live in Japan? Wish we had more things like this in the US (besides larger cities.) Harder to find a head/scalp massage with this much attention than you'd think, over here.

    Because it's an incredibly misoginistic and predatory society, where everybody puts on a facade becauE nobody really likes each other and everyone has to pretend to be happy and give 110% of themselves or else they're deemed as failures
