    5:28 "I got you, just bear with me" ... the 7 best words in the English language to be heard in a row. I've been there. Not in regards to a haircut, but in other areas my parents have exerted authority with a level of aggression that years later has made it difficult to maintain a relationship with them, or even want to. When it's at a level where you can't tell them "No", it gets ugly. Having allies is a priceless resource.

    I grew up trying to grow my hair out while constantly being threatened by my parents to cut it in my sleep, or take me in and demand a pixie cut "like Mom's", so I struggle with most "hair cutting ASMR" scenarios. But this one felt so safe that it didn't trigger me at all. 🙂

    Why did they want to cut your hair ?

  • @HaddieAnne

    @HaddieAnne

    Жыл бұрын

    @@Rose-cl1nn they said because it inconvenienced them because it made me take longer in the shower and because my shed strands got into weird places or wrapped around toes. My mom also firmly believed that "didn't have the face for long hair" so it'd look better with it short. They also did nothing to defend me when my younger brother bought a metal lighter and would come up behind me, *click-flick* then laugh when I freaked out.

    Same I used to have super long hair down to my waste that would take hours. I cried as a 6 year old that my baby hairs made it hard to sleep, my mom had my hair cut and it looked like Dora the explorer except I’m a ginger and couldn’t pull it off. After that it went from my mom brushing my hair to it suddenly being on me and if I didn’t do it she’d get it cut into Dora again so it wouldn’t tangle. I hated it and no one asked me if that’s what I wanted. I still have issues with getting my hair cut but I love having it played with except for the tangles and the fact that it’s super thick and kinda wavy.

    My mam once went to give me a trim because we were low on money, I was in about year 2 so I suppose like, 6 or 7 years old. She accidentally took a large chunk and there was NO way to salvage it, so I went from a kinda fuzzy curly mop of a hair cut, to skinhead. Thing was, I am so uncaring about style or fashion, especially then, that I didn’t really care. But I did say to her I needed a fuzzy hat because the breeze made my bald skull cold 😢

  • @hosseinnaseri5884

    Just two feedbacks: 1. Having an abusive or control freak mom/parents isn't something that I would like to imagine to have in a Roleplay or ASMR video. I understand that you tried to be creative in your storytelling which is commendable and that is why I subscribed to this channel in the first place, but still that backstory with the mom was sad and horrific and I personally prefer something that generates good feelings in these videos. 2. Please talk in whisper, instead of using your soft voice. Because most of the time I use ASMR videos, when I'm too tired to do anything else, meaning I'm ready to sleep. And in this video every time that my eyelids were starting to get closed, suddenly I got distracted and woke up because of your voice! So eventually I just closed the video, which is unfortunate.

Neither of us are right or wrong, we just have different tastes. If she sees my comment I hope she knows that there are people out there who love the sort of things that others are advising against.
