This is my earliest known trigger! I can remember lying on my grandmother's couch -- 45+ long years ago -- and feeling entranced by the sounds of her doing dishes in the kitchen. Of course, I did not know so many years ago what ASMR was, but I know now that that is definitely what I was experiencing!

I remember this type of thing was my very first ASMR trigger. I was at my grandma's house when I was pretty young while my mom was at work. The TV was on and a segment of this little girl washing her toy dishes came on and my head felt so tingly. It feels a little strange to experience it again nearly 20 years later. But I love it.

That’s such a lovely thing to say, Margo. Abigail has been willing to make videos with me and I am so grateful to her for her help. As a matter of fact, she is in one with me next week! Silverware is the worst to clean. If you have as big a household I have, there's way too much silverware to clean each individual piece. Especially when they don't rinse it off first.

Rebecca, I hate washing dishes! But I sure like watching you do it. And a few people posted comments about the sounds. It's true you wouldn't think this could be ASMR triggers. But if I were sitting in a other room hearing this I could definitely become relaxed. I don't know how to explain it though. I meant to say this in the baking video but I absolutely love that wooden bowl with the red balls underneath. Looks like cherries🍒This is a great video! I never would have thought these could be trigger sounds either. But I got a request for it long ago. It did pretty well then so I thought it was time to try it again. I really liked it but I don’t know if it’s a personal trigger of mine. I just thought it was pretty and I wanted a friend of mine to enjoy it. Ive tryed to watch this over several nights but only get thru about five minutes as im fast asleep! This is way better than a 💊! But it is 5pm so im going to watch ot now and see what happens, ill let you know! Im just tickled that you made a video with me in mind….and im feeling much better than I was by the way….what a horrible six months that was almost had to gonto the looney bin on that one! But i feel im back and ive even started some vegetables in the basement greenhouse!

Did you film this after you done filming the baking video ? Man,that must be tiring,usually after baking i waitnfor an hour or two to rest before i do the dishes Also i would roll my sleeves to my shoulders as best as possible if im doing dishes with white clothes lmao

No need to apologize. The interesting thing is, I couldn't really tell you what the majority of Americans use. Sponge or washcloth? I don't know 🤷🏻‍♀️. I always thought most people used sponges until I met my husband. He's a washcloth kind of guy. 🤣👍🏻💕💕💕

Right? My husband does the dishes now that he has retired. But I did them by hand like this for years and years.

I didn't like it at all, the faucet is constantly open, there is no reason to waste this much water😒

Whereas, I don't appreciate your negative comment, I do appreciate your feelings about water being wasted, especially when there are so many others in other countries that have so little water available. However, there is no shortage here in my town. I wanted there to be some nice water sounds. That's what happens with a video that is all about sound.

To protect my acrylic nails. Water will make them come off sooner. When I am not wearing acrylics, I do not bother wearing gloves.
