It's 3:33 am and I'm wondering...
what it means to be "in love."
My brain bounces from the left hemisphere of biological data regarding oxytocin to the right hemisphere and the works of my favorite Persian poet, Hafiz.
I use a Carl Jung technique that was given to me by a patient, and psychologist, as a tool to create new pathways in understanding the duality of any concept.
Hold the 2 opposing ideas in your mind simultaneously. Equally. Not giving one more weight than the other. Hold them together like 2 magnets with the like poles coming together. Feel the resistance, the push.
Hold them there, even though they oppose each other. Even though they resist. Hold... Hold... Hold...
Then let go.
And...
BOOM!
A third, NEW pathway is created.
Your mind has EXPANDED. Your awareness has INCREASED CAPACITY and the two ideas can exist simultaneously, beyond your personal bias and experience.
And now...
I'm eating a delicious slice of leftover vegan pizza
I've got no answers, unlike Andrew who gave us a great health history. He answered every open-ended question with all the precise data that an examiner looks for
Onset
Provocative factors
Palliative measures
Quality/ timing and an exact diagnostic location for our primary suspect
He said "1.5 mm disc protrusion" and that makes me want to cry
And with his lifestyle factors of diet, water, exercise and stretching all coming in clean as a wet whistle...
we're all set for a chiropractic assassination of the anatomical assailants.
Now... this is all considering the lumbar spine. But the right shoulder is showing atrophy, And that's going to take a combination of adjustments and persistent home care. Sometimes you have to do work. And even though Andrew already has a tight game of SELF CARE, it's the combination of both self-care and adjustments that will bring his shoulder into recovery.
Which reminds me of Love.
No outside source will ever seem to be "enough" or "right" unless you love yourself first.
It's all ASMR after that... Loosen the spinal ligaments, coax the muscles into gentle submission, and allure the meninges to release the primary-respiratory-mechanism
Breeeeeeeeathe with me peoples of KZread... who I know... exist in the matrix of consciousness that is projected from my heart...
For the crack addicts... did you catch the slight difference in the sound quality in his joints?
It's not that they weren't loud. They were deep (as Dr. Johnson so colorfully says) "explosions of gas inside the synovial joint capsule."
How I wish you all could FEEL what it's like when that happens... in, and by your very own hands.
And the authentic and poetic responses of Andrew are surely an indication of a parasympathetic override in a system that has been RELIEVED of tension.
Natalia, from last week's episode, peeked in at 16:30 They drove in from New York for a few days to enjoy Central PA, and GET ADJUSTED. And they are IN LOVE.
My hats off again to the bilingual tongue of Andrew and also his ability to sit 48 floors high on the new york skyline, climbing towards the sun like a falcon whose claws are sunk deep in a fresh kill, returning home to the nest to feed their mate and offspring without bias, judgment, or any concept of love.
Andre, I mane Andrew... HA!
For the intuitive... notice how I brought that in the room as "weird" and "random."
I even labeled the moment as "misspoken."
Of course, you already know my belief that "nothing is random."
And "weird" is just a mirror in my bedroom.
But really, the name-calling was the result of sitting in pulse meditation for an extended period and then trying to move heart space perceptions into the realm of language. Which is not always easy.
And I called him by his "real name" without ever being told what that is.
Giggle with me
This kind of intention... when you sit with a human and let the hearts entrain and the breath synchronize (see Heart Marth Institute)
is accessible to the student of intuition.
It's just one step beyond ASMR. You see/hear a stimulus that elicits a response. You're connected to something outside yourself. You feel it.
Just as we are connected to the fibers of the universal soul, where the powers of empathy and compassion are born.
But empathy and compassion come easy to most.
It's being "in love" that evades the grasping talons of most of your hearts.
And...
Yes...
At the end of the video, I definitely replaced my head with the sub button, on purpose.
Only a few characters left and I'll burn a few more of them simply by, mentioning them, as I lead you into an epic conclusion...
I love you
And I hope you do too

Dr Bender, I am a chiropractor in training- though I haven't started my degree at university I'm in my final year in 6th form in England. I was wondering if you had any books that would be useful in learning this areas of Chinese medicine, or any other books that you found useful during your studies I would love it if you'd let me know. Thanks for the amazing content.

Daniel De Rooij ... the best way to learn is from the masters. Find a practitioner and shadow them for a day or a week. As far as books... stick to the anatomy and physiology texts. There is a lifetime of study there!

Appreciate it, and I'm really looking forward to spending a lot of time shadowing chiros after my exams, it's amazing how much I've already learnt from watching the likes of you and Dr Gregory Johnson, Dr Rahim, Dr Cipriano, and Dr Ian from Australia, so I can't wait for the what the future has to bring

I need someone to do for me whatever the Doc does around 26 mins in when he gets right up under the guy's scapula and tugs it. Constant pain for 3 years now. My whole left side is pretty bad but around the scapula is real bad. I also have a rib that sort of pops in and out in my chest there so it feels like I have a pain going straight through from front to back there.
