Whoa the part where you started talking about your channel dying. That's not something I think I hear any of the other asmrtists I follow speak about but that definitely made this a more authentic (unscripted) session. I love your videos because of the detail and personality you put into them. I think it's wise to consider the future, but hope all the best for your future creative works!

These videos are my favorites Sarah! I do have a book recommendation. It's titled A Gentleman in Moscow, by Amor Towles. I read it last summer, and it was one of the most charming and brilliantly written books that I have read. There are parts that are a bit slower or go into a lot of detail, which I understand deter some people, but I figured that if you loved the Lord of the Rings books so much then you could definitely appreciate this book!

I want to know when they're going to start hiring Sarah to read books ASMR style and release them on Audible. That would make me sign up for sure😄 I bet it would be rough on the throat trying to get through a long novel in all whispers and soft speaking without breaking it up into many sessions though.

Sarah, there's no chance your channel is going to die! Your channel is quite ASMR niche in my opinion. I love your channel as it is focused on all the triggers I find relaxing. I have read a small amount of comments that find this as negative, most of us who watch you enjoy whispering or soft speaking with brushing or book tapping without fast and aggressive movements which feature in a lot of ASMR channels. Your channel is special. I have mentioned before that I prefer Spanish ASMR (I quite enjoy Italian ASMR too as I study Italian now), but I don't watch any other ASMR-ists unless I am waiting for you to post another video. I often also go back to your older ones. 💜 ✍🏼 On the book writing topic, I don't want to be harsh, but, if you want to write, you should just make time. You shouldn't just think of a period in the distant future when you might have time as that might never happen. I did a one day course where the tutor advised us to try to write even only 30mins a day. She said it's better than allocating a whole day once a month or so. This is so difficult for me due to work and life generally, so I signed up for one of their flexible online courses where you don't need to log in at a certain time. You just have a deadline to submit your work. It really helps to keep your creative muscle active, so maybe you can do something like that to help you pursue your passion. 📖 On the book publishing bit, yes, that's so much more difficult! We've messaged before about that and I can tell you some publishers don't even bother emailing you that they have rejected you, you just wait for months until it's clear they don't want to work with you. I'm currently working with a small online publisher in my home country and had to choose the option of self-funding. I can only afford it as I live in the UK and the British Pound converted into the Bulgarian currency makes it more affordable to me. I wouldn't be able to afford self-funding in the UK or live in Bulgaria and self-fund there. It's really tricky to get published also because it's difficult to get noticed amongst the amounts of manuscripts publishers get. I guess persistency helps as well as being flexible and being prepared to literally invest in your art. I am sure you will succeed as long as you put the work and passion in whatever it is you dream of. Look at your channel, it's proof of what you can do! 💜

You're always so kind Veronica 🥺💕 Thank you so much. Haha I agree about just forcing myself to start writing. I think I do need some sort of deadline to kickstart myself - I'll have to look into creative writing classes. :) The publishing world sounds so intimidating. Wishing you the best of luck!! Once it's published, you should email me the title or link on Amazon, I'd love to check it out! I'm not sure I remember though, will your book be in English or Bulgarian? :)

@@SarahLavenderASMR, maybe have a look at Faber Academy. I know that you like Sally Rooney, Faber are her publishers and do creative writing courses. I currently do one of their online flexible courses. They're really useful, in my opinion 🙂 they also seem to sell special editions to their students only. I recently saw they mentioned there's a special edition of Normal People offered only to their students. Aw thank you so much 💜 I am not sure if my book will become that popular to be sold on Amazon, but who knows 🤭 it's in Bulgarian (do you have any Bulgarian friends you can recommend it to?) 😊 I hope my next published book will be in English 🥰

First off, I highly enjoy your book videos and watch them over and over again. There's not quite another book asmr channel/videos like yours so thank you. Secondly, I highly suggest you read two non-fiction books. One is called "Acts of Faith" by Eboo Patel which is an autobiography that is incredible. He has such an interesting life, and his service and ideas of religion tied into American life is so interesting. I have a feeling you'd enjoy it. The other book is "Justice" by Michael J Sandel which is a political book that focuses on certain issues in US society with great analogies to help one understand all sides to certain arguments. It's so fascinating and I read it in my philosophy class a couple years ago now and it really helped me realize that some people really need a book like this in their life in order to grasp and gain better perspective on modern life. Anyways, thank you for your video!! I love them all so much, please keep it up

I haven't read Nomadland but I saw the film and it made me want to read the book for sure. I have a sister doing vanlife, but not the glamourous instagram kind, the necessity kind - but she loves it. She mainly BASE jumps and skydives all day long lol, along with all her friends. It's got me fascinated by that lifestyle. Of course, the fact it's used as a retirement alternative does make me sad, especially when people are only doing it because they have to and don't want to.

In a lot of your videos you always mention a book that's in your top lists or your top reads and now I'm curious 🤨 🤨 🤨 Maybe you could go over your absolute favorite books and only those that have received 5 stars. I feel like I'm also very picky so anything you'd give a 5 I would definitely take my time to read

I felt the same way about the Anthony Doerr book. The prose is beautiful, but the story felt like there was something missing. I usually get criticism for my view on the book, but you get me. Haha I’m also very picky with giving books 5/5.

If you like Evicted, based on the description I think you’d like Tightrope by Kristoff & WuDunn. Goes along the same vein of poverty in the US, but also ties in relevant topics like racial disparities, and talks about communities that are actually tackling these issues both symptomatically and/or at their origin. Very good & one of my (if-not-the) favorite books of all time! Not that you need more book recommendations, but who *doesnt* need more book recommendations 😂

Sounds amazing! Adding that to my list for sure - I think those are topics everyone should be educated on. Thanks for recommending :)

If you’re into Alexander von Humboldt you should totally check out „Measuring the world“ by Daniel Kehlmann! It’s super good, it was one of the few books I read for school that I enjoyed ☺️
