ASMR A Tiny Map of the North Sea Coast (soft spoken, tracing)
This truly is a much tinier map than usual but one that caught my eye because we can explore some great details on here. The coastline itself is the result of extensive changes brought about wind and tides over centuries, especially before the dams were built. But I think the most fascinating part are the Halligen, inhabited islands that to this day get flooded when storms occur.

That was really interesting, thank you! I have a mental image now of a farmer sitting on his roof clutching a chicken, waiting for the waters to recede. I’m going to check it out and find some photos and videos of the area!

Ahaha almost! The show I watched was about Hallig Hooge and from a programme called NDR Nordstory which I really like. They do these mundane, slice of life kind of shows where everything can seem a bit weird but nothing really happens. I find it so relaxing haha.

Jaaaa es ist so schön dort! Es gibt ein paar nette NDR Dokus darüber, die sicher auch gut zum Deutsch üben sind.
I kinda wanted to put this random-recommended video to background and just listen but got really interested. Truth is I knew nothing about this area between Germany and Denmark. Its coastline is really feature rich. Your voice and narration is awesome. It's nice to have someone besides asmrctica in geography/maps themed asmr

My family is from Föhr, so I love this!!
I love that you mentioned Doggerland. I kinda wish it still existed above water. It was really interesting learning about the bit of North Sea around the German and Danish Coast though
