No Joke, I was in the top guild on my then server back in...2006? a month or two before naxx release. LITERALLY this guy or his twin, dwarf standing in the wrong spot but no one to replace him since gearing recruits took months was the reason we didnt kill cthun before naxxramas release. I still wake up screaming.

I think thats the most amount of emotion ive seen from Asmon in a while, that was really good.

Absolutely lost it at 2:41.

The sad thing is the girlfriend part is true. When I was playing classic a guild I was in broke apart because the guild leaders wife was cheating on him with one of the officers, and the officer decided to mutiny and form his own guild with the old GL's wife and half the members.

This video is good because it shows the good and bad part of each game. Loot in classic is memorable. I play hunter and when I finally got my crossbow from chromag lots of people in my guild were cheering for me. I think you realize that some people in your guild need a certain item and every week it doesn’t drop just makes it that much more special when it does. Makes it so much more memorable.

One of the reasons I love running content with my FC in FFXIV is the same reason: we all cheer when someone finally gets that thing they were running content for. Someone finally gets the last gwiber they need? Everyone loses their mind in excitement. The idiot Summoner (read as me) finally clears E12S? Everyone cheers. MMOs are all about community, if you ask me.

The classic raid loot literally happened to me, but with Rag and waiting for Bloodfang Pants. After all the rogues had gotten theirs, it was finally my turn. GM gives it to the GF that just came on her first raid. Entire rogue corp was pissed off and we gquit.

This is one of the videos you have to come back and watch at least once a week.

I can relate to the old orc, man I hardly ever get anything till almost last.

@@capitaldcolon1795 I mean prepping for raids in classic is harder than doing the raids, the raids besides naxx are easy as fuck in classic and anyone who denies it hasn’t raided in classic. Stuff above normal in retail can be hard if the mechanics are tricky.

It was the same with vanilla as it was with derek. We did dry runs for Molten Core and BWL. For running out at baron geddon, for example. it was a wonderful time.

God I finally understand setting the consumables on fire, while they couldn't literally do it they may as well have as despite losing all those world buffs no doubt his guild still expects him to pump out as much damage as he can so he will of course still be popping those expensive consumes even though his parse is gonna be dogshit and the guild likely won't be setting any record times.

The funny part where he got mind control off is true if your guild is shit and don't have a pre summon raid hidden out the way ready so your all 40 men next to the raid ready to log in no one has to die or get dispel it takes 20 mins max to summon 40 people just organise a pre summon party for them who want to keep world buffs if even 20 people come ersly better than dying

Yep yep, 100% agree with you. There was always borrowed power in some shape or form, pretty much in every expansion. But since this is classic vs retail, let's talk in that context; classic had world buffs that you had to farm for every single raid without seeing the end of it, while on retail it was a corruption and essences. Sme shit pretty much, if you have none, you will underperform majorly and would have to be carried. The only difference is, those lazy to farm shit on retail pay for their stuff, while on classic your party/guild is doomed to carry you through every raid tier/dungeon with very few boost options out there. People tend to over-exagarate how broken the current borrowed power system is as if something like this was never implemented in any expansion before.

the difference is that you dont need worldbuffs to clear anything in classic but in retail the borrowed power is an essential part of the game
