It seems pretty funny to me. In Czech Republic if you're quite established you can be making around $1300/wedding and that's considered pretty good. Honestly don't know about many people who charge over that. But of course we have a totally different market here.

This was great! People don’t realize how well weddings pay.

How do you emotionally do it as an introvert doing weddings? An event like that dealing with people, the amount of people you're surrounded by? I'm an INFJ myself and I can't imagine dealing with bridezillas, posing group shots; giving directions, etc. What's it like after you're done with the event? Do you find yourself emotionally exhausted?

INFJ and wedding photographer myself. I kinda like it. Remember, we are the most extroverted of the introverted. I go full overdrive on location because I know I can’t sit in front of a screen for hours after, without any human interaction. My wife got my back which I am very grateful for and in the end, it pays the bills and my customers love my work.

@@dustinschonherr1694 That's true 🙂. I am the same when it comes to sitting in front of the computer for hours 🙃. I did an engagement party last weekend and they offered me a margarita so that helped my anxiety lol.

I love flying under the radar as an independent filmmaker and photographer. I can tell my neighbors don’t really understand what I do for a living and have no idea I make 6 figures doing it LOL. I love it.

This was cool. It would've been cool to see you tell them what you average after they were done answering your questions, and get their reactions to what you average.

It was enjoyable and interesting!!

Some of those people were hilarious lol, loved the video!

Thanks for watching! Oh- I think it would totally depend on strategy. If you're just delivering digital edits, an hour can be anywhere from $300-$750 (based on experience), but I know if you're doing a print package where people can upgrade and you upsell to different print offerings, you could absolutely make upwards of $1000-$1500 for an hour newborn session. If I ever do a newborn or family session, I usually walk with $550-$900 including print sales.

@@EricFloberg Pretty spot on! I was mostly just asking in jest. I am an in-home newborn photographer in Chicago and just found your channel. I love your content! And your work is beautiful! (I charge $800 per session- just digitals. I keep increasing my prices but can never seem to keep up with the inquiries)

Honestly this was a great question cuz we get low balled so much and we deal with those ppl that jump in ur way with camera phones and iPads… ppl don’t understand how many pictures we take during a wedding and have to come home a run through them at the same time we have other clients as well

Nice video mate! I live in Estonia (Eastern Europe) and best wedding photographers here make couple of thousand euros. I would say an average wedding photographer asks around 1000€ per whole wedding day. This includes photos, editing and some cases even some prints. As you can see price difference is huge depending on where you live. But I have always felt that in our country photographers are underrated. The photographers who does not value themselves are bringing the market price down unfortunately.

Videographer are still underrated, especially outside the US.

Interesting to see that some of them think you can make $5-6k/wedding but when asked about annual salary their response was much lower than that. They must be either bad at math or think that you can book only 8-12 weddings per year.

$260k last year, on track for $300k+ this year baby!

I feel like a lot of this would depend on who/where you're asking, too. Maybe run the same experiment but be a little tighter with your demographic parameters? (And then, for shits and giggles, another one inside B&H)

Are these prices for pictures only? No wedding highlight video?

How much the course is? So I can prepare myself

i heard that wedding photography is the lowest form of genre it means landscape,sreet,architecture and other genre are better choice?

Shure SM58 with an XLR straight into camera (Canon C70) 🤘

The market rate from uk to USA is crazy. A very well established photographer/videographer can just about get 2.5k to 3.5£

@@EricFloberg It seems as though London typically trends up towards the £2000 mark but isn't significantly higher than that. Definitely not in the same ballpark as the range you mentioned for the US.
