Tbh - it's much better to ask individuals. So far in my experience of going from dog to mega neon, I've been saying "trading [insert name of pet] for anything! Trading challenge/race so anything helps! Tysm!" And sometimes nobody trades me so I just trade some people near me and ask if they have any offers and they do. So from my experience I can say asking individuals is a lot better.
