FWIW, assistanat translates very badly to welfare. In French it’s a very loaded word, and welfare is very neutral.

I visited Paris for 2nd time in 2 years. I totally loved it. So Beautiful. Great culture of course. Fantastic museums I'm sure Paris has it's problems too, but does it have the problems that Chicago has? Which is where I'm from.

Moi j’habite à Paris et je dirai les touristes c’est vraiment insupportable ils ne respectent rien ni personne. On a des boutiques souvenirs à la place d’avoir des commerces et quand les gens achètent des bérets on dirait vraiment des touristes parce que les bérets c’est faux les français n’en portent pas
