By far my favorite youtube guitar player..dude is amazing and has an infectious great attitude...I won't buy anything until I find a video of him reviewing it or playing it...wish he was ere in the U.S I'd be at dudes shop all the time

Funny, I was going to say "He's probably never actually at the store."... Then my brain turned back on. However, I get the distinct impression that since Dagan has become PMTUK's very own Slash, either he A. puts 10 of these videos together on a weeknight before kicking off and the rest of the week he's playing gigs and... doing whatever modern Rock Stars do, or B. He has been locked in that audition room for the past 6 years, only being allowed one food/water/restroom break per day, and one more if they film off site. Here's to you Dagan! You obviously found the pick of destiny, and I've got a question: Were you born with the luscious locks and facial hair? I remember watching WAYYYYY back in the "nervous Dagan" days and though the hair was a bit shorter, you still looked like the same guy we Love hearing get passionate about his gear. P.S. I think the Tele for the Two Rock was a pretty good trade.

One reason to visit a guitar shop and play the guitar you plan to buy is to feel the neck, not just profile but the way the neck feels. Gloss vs. Satin neck is one example of big difference between two guitars with the same profile.

4:10 That really depends on what you want and what you are modifying, but generally I would way if what you want is not available, modify something relatively common and mod it. But please, whenever you are doing non-reversible mods, don't ruin guitars that are desireable by removing the desireable feature of that specific model, especially if the guitars are no longer made that way. My favorite example of that are the guys that do goldtop to burst convertions. Why would you buy a 57 Les Paul and refinish it in cherry sunburst (essentially ruining the guitar, and removing a Goldtop from the world and replacing it with refinished, non-bookmatched top firewood worth nothing more than the price of the PAF pickups) when Gibson has made cherry sunburst Les Pauls for the last 40 years, and probably will do until the company stops producing guitars.

What makes a guitar cheap isn't just cheap hardware. Unless you know what to look for, you might end up with a badly constructed guitar with a badly set neck, a twist or a rubbish truss rod. Make sure the guitar's got good bones if you're not prepared do wood working on it.

I’d suggest to spend money on a lower priced guitar (not a squire) and then modify it to your liking. It’s gonna make you happier to have the tone that you want, rather than the set tone that comes with a single guitar.
