I've been eating wfpb for 3 years now. I have lost and maintained 80lbs. and healed many health issues. My husband initially wasn't on board, but in due time he has incorporated more and more of my eating habits. So I think if you just keep following your path, the people around you will see how well you are thriving and follow suit!
Flat shipping rate is a game changer….just placed my first order this week because of it. Thank you for this change.

I don't believe you need to eat processed food to be healthy. In fact, you should avoid most processed food. Anything that comes in a package is processed. The fresher, the better! The sooner the food comes off the vine or the stalk and goes into your belly, the better.
Just learned about the flat shipping rate in the US. Good news!
Glad to hear your advice to patience’s because I love veggies breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner . Thanks for sharing.
Love this Q&A! Thank you for all of your great content. Been following your dad’s way of eating for the past fourteen years. Love how healthy and energetic this diet allows us to be.
Excellent session - thanks so much!
I had a veggie wrap with avocado and pumpkin seeds
Thanks
I love the comment you made of possibly doing a Q&A podcast……I have my fingers crossed 🤞

Ithis is truly an inspiring podcast - and I love your whole food program and you really radiate such a beautifull and very inspiring Energy and give the very best example in practice - simple, basic and effective in all ways - and a tiny question: Great breakfast but what is hemp hearts? 🎶💚🎵🐸

Is there any way to lower the volume on that countdown before the show, or just edit it out completely?

@19:43 search twin study on sarcopenia and protein. It along with other independent studies are showing evidence (or lack of) for the need of concentrated protein and muscle mass. Actually growing evidence from my research for the detrimental effect of high protein intake. A video by ZOE with a nutritional researcher supports what Rip says about calorie intake and sufficient protein due to how our body processes food.
McDougall always says the protein gets buffered by the calcium in bones, leading to osteoporosis. I agree much more with your assessment. I think the same about overall protein. While we need adequate protein for muscle synthesis, I think the bigger problem with growing muscle is much more a matter of not losing muscle in the first place.

It’s the phytates in beans, peas and lentils that interfere with calcium absorption. Phytates can be reduced by soaking them before cooking.

McDougall often has recipes which include beans/legumes on his site, so I think we can deduce from this what he thinks is beneficial for overall health.

@@aureliaglenn2220 But he recommends an average of 1 cup a day. You can have 2-3 cups at one sitting as long as you skip beans for a few other days.
Hey could Rip weigh in on the sugary and electrolyte sports drinks for endurance athletes and who/when/if they should actually be used? Is it kind of choosing to enhance the short term athletic performance but at a long term health detriment? The protein shake of the endurance world? Seems like that is kinda in conflict with wfpb.
What about homemade sourdough bread, water, flour and salt?
Does dr esselstyn still have 20 reeses pieces on New years eve?
Thanks. Never knew this about iphone podcasts. So much easier. Is I can skip KZread
And do you ship to Denmark? 💚
23:13 I popped a question about the best power green powders. Do you have any thoughts on the various brands like Enso Superfoods, Primal Greens, Green Juice, Bloom Greens + Superfoods, and Green Vibrance? Do you use one or produce one at Plant Strong? Thanks so much for your time and the information!!!

Just wondering, if a person eats a lot of greens on a daily basis why would they need to have powdered greens?
Question,, I wonder: Cooked Beans. They shall Boil in water about one hour…. I forget Them and they boil 2 hours, or 2 and a half hour instead. Does it mean anything in the nutricion they have. I eat Them anyway, but have they lost nutricion too much?
Do flax seeds cause estrogen in men???
How many dumps do you take per day?

A few years back, in the videos for that year's PlantStock, there was a fleeting glimpse of the sign participants saw on their way onto the Esselstyn property. It said "Honk if you had your BM this morning, honk twice if you already had 2 or more." I suspect all the members of the Esselstyn family have a number of them each day and heard a lot of honking that morning. LOL
Most of what you cook is NOT diabetic friendly. Great for heart patients alone but what about heart patients who are diabetic?
Rip should try and talk a little faster.
