Yes. How about this: 1. Election manifestos should be a contract between the elected government and the people. The "Contract" can be changed but only by parliamentary vote. 2. Question time ought to be about discovery and evidence of performance against that contract. 3. Ministers and MPs responding to questions must do so under oath. Only legitimate national security relating to classified information is a reason to not answer a question. Ministers refusing for any other reason are held in contempt and may be charged or disciplined. This would filter out the ego-trippers from the MP candidate list, and reduce the BS they would sell to the public during campaigns. We gotta get serious about governance or we're on a journey to fiscal and social oblivion.

Hey there, young guy here, turning 25 in September. I'll be moving out of Canada if he gets re elected, which would really suck, but I honestly don't recognize the country I grew up in anymore. The future feels very bleak. I want to start a family, but I fear that will be financially out of reach for some time to come. Cheers from southern Ontario

I am opposed to her being the finance minister. No one in this government can answer a single question.

If Crystia Freeland refuses to answer the questions asked during the finance committee questions, she should be held in contempt of the finance committee

CF: "Yeah the answer to that question will make me and the pm and the LPC look bad so, I'll just say.. Canada can afford to pay it and leave it at that." Almost like a family on a fixed budget and dad brings home a new car, the wife asks how much is that going to cost per month and the husband say's don't worry about it, we can handle it. Then she finds out she's getting 50 bucks less for the grocery bills.
