It is absurd to claim that India cheated by pushing the boundary rope during the World Cup, especially considering the match is being broadcast live and thousands of people are watching from the stadium.

SA did not choke but lost because of a brilliant catch by SKY and death overs bowling by Indian bowlers. The SA players will learn from this defeat as it was first time for them playing in a final and being under tremendous pressure to win. These players will be ready for next T20 WC and especially the ODI WC where they will be the host.

@@marathiboi96, why to fix it at halftime if the boundary lines stayed like this the all India innings. If anything had to be fixed from something happened at the first over of the game, it should have get fixed before the second over. Otherwise keep it the same and sore losers who are unhappy with the result, keep your mouth shut.
Instead of calling it a choke, I would say it was a result of an indian team that fought desperately to win the trophy. And don't get me started on Bumrah, he is already the greatest Indian fast bowler and for sure one the all time greats. His precision is second to absolutely none. He's as some people said, a cheat code. Edit - The sky catch was clean as a whistle. It will definitely go down as one of the greatest catches considering the situation.
@marathiboi96

@@Sunny-sc5vq The sky catch is gonna be point of debate because the boundry line was moved by none other than south african bowler nortje, He slid into it trying to stop a boundary in the very first over and then probably flipped it, as it was without a thought and it remained as it was for next 38 freaking overs, No one bothered but a coincidentally it came into play in the final over, Sky didn't watch the painted line but the ad brick line, in the end, south africa fumbled a lot, they should've closed the game in 19th over, taken more risks

Funny isn’t it that although the stadium had about 30 cameras covering every inch of the ground, not one camera caught Jay Shah moving the boundary lines a bit behind so that SKY will catch legally. Its human nature when u are really broke ur mind convinces u of some divine power playing its part to give u some relief from the pain . Like when someone dear dies u say he has become star 🌟 when reality is that he is being eaten by earthworms .
Huge respect and sympathy for South Africa. They’re awesome 🙌
Come on guys west indies, south africa and recently Afghanistan are the teams that indians support the most after India
So Smile Group Travel couldn’t get you out in time for the Final?
7:52 - absolutely, as an Indian 🇮🇳 fan, I will 'never' forget the heartbroken smile with which DeKock left the ground. Dreams of yet another generation of extremely talented, deserving South African players left unfulfilled. It made me reflect on life. Why do good deserving ppl sometimes lose.
It is so good to come back to hear George just casually giving some wonderful insights after each matches. Just two people chatting cricket without much hullabaloo. So true when he said, they were able to do it because they were just too good and agree with him that India has under achieved in the past 10 years.
There were a few moments, not just the catch: a) Dismissal of Klaasen, who was well set, b) Bumrah dismissing Jansen, c) Bumrah/Arshdeep keeping the lid on runs leading to the last over. So, focusing on the SKY catch, questioning it is wrong. For sure, it played a role, but it’s not the only factor. In these days of replays, neutral umpires, things are as fair as they can be.
Oh absolutely!!! We Indians loved the result obviously but we did give a moment to reflect how brilliant SA were n felt little sad seeing them crying.
Wow, I completely missed Jay Shah running straight past the umpires to mess around with that boundary rope/hoarding, but of course I'm glad my friends from Eng,SA,Aus,Pak,Ban are there to remind me that it INDEED HAPPENED, and they clearly saw it from their television sets even when almost everyone in the stadium missed it...#EAGLEEYES

Well played SA🇿🇦👏, you won hearts and more promising for future contests. Hats off to Our ICT, for bringing back the trophy home..much love team Bharat❤🇮🇳
Re. Fielding support team throwing the ball back in; this also has the effect of saving the legs of the fielding team, saving them 30-40 metres of running to the rope and back the their position. Might just save them enough energy to chase a ball to the rope later and save the boundary?
If every Country' Cricket Council had the same say at ICC meetings, how come India, Australia and England have the most number of bilateral test, odi and t20 matches? All other nations of late play maximum 2 tests and 3 ODIs only in a series among one another, whereas England, India and Australia play 5 test-match series and 5-7 ODI matches? Definitely, the financially big 3 country councils have more say in the formats and numbers of matches per cycle. ICC needs more independency and should not be greedy for money at the expense of the game.
George Dobell is as sensible as ever

Bumrah in the 2023 WC final and the postponed 5th test v England in that COVID era are two times when Bumrah was not exactly great
Very balanced and insightful post match analysis. Subscribed 😊
He is definitely superior to Marshall, Hadlee who does not get to play on conducive wickets for 60% of his games but he still delivers. In this world of neutral umpires and eagle eyes of 20 odd on-ground camera there is no hanky-panky with the ball --Boom delivered in Australia - test matches, England and in this era of powerful bats and short boundaries this guy is a phenom in every format... Thanks to Bumrah's mother and that small room where little Bumrah practiced those deliveries with utmost precision endlessely so as to not interrupt mom's nap .. Now India sleeps contentedly when Bumrah bowls.
I don't think South Africa "choked" but isn't an inability to perform under pressure the textbook definition of choking? (see Mesagno, C., & Hill, D. M. (2013). Definition of choking in sport: Re-conceptualization and debate. International Journal of Sport Psychology, 44(4), 267-277.)
