Hi I think the rice water would be best, because I know a lot of naturals are doing this now. Thank you! Love your informative videos.

I’d love to see videos about making our own products at home! I’ve found a few resources on making conditioners and such, but none are curly hair-focused and they don’t get into stylers too much. Thanks!

I would love part 2 of 3 little lies in he natural hair community. I really enjoyed that information. Because I believe a lot of naturals are misguided on silicone and need to be educated that they are not bad. And since you are a chemist you break it done. So thanks for breaking it down and educated me. Keep it up.

...and thank you for your videos! Lots of naturals are jumping on that rice water thing. I almost tried it (I am a natural too) but I decided not to. To many this may sound silly, but I rather continue to care for my hair, pray and God will do the rest. Blessings~

Okay, I didn't know where to ask a question but figured this video was as good a place as any. I have come away from your videos wiser and even more enthusiastic about my natural hair regimen (I'm 40 and I did my last big chop at 23, so natural hasn't been a journey for a while now but rather a state of being ). Thank you! It is also wonderful to hear you share your spirituality - Jesus' love comes through in your genuine warmth and generosity with your knowledge! Okay, so my question pertains to Briogeo's limited edition Honey Don't Despair Repair mask. I was comparing the ingredients of the original mask to those of the honey one, and I noticed that there were only a handful of different ingredients added to the holiday version, most notably, organic honey. The original one has both BTMS AND CTC, and the holiday edition contains BTC and BTMS. I'm thinking I can add my own honey to some of the original product when I splurge on the jumbo bottle (an eye-watering $110, and that's ON SALE 🤯) instead of throwing money away on a gimmick. What say you? Thanks again for everything and Lord bless you! I will be picking up your book very soon!!

This is an old video with a new question: can you explain what’s in my products? Why is it there? Ex. Propylene glycol. Is it a good humectant that retains moisture- is it capable of drying out my high porosity hair? Please write a reference book on these things so I can carry it around when I am buying products

Can I offer some friendly advice, too? At 17 years old, I’d say please just focus on cleansing, moisturizing and protecting your skin from the sun, especially if you have ingredients like retinol in your acne management skin-care. Please don’t suffocate your young, fresh, skin with redundant, excessive products, especially now that it’s constantly dealing with pubertal hormone fluctuations. I say this because it’s so tempting to want everything that’s on the shelf, especially with affordable skin care brands like The Ordinary, and it’s easy to get overwhelmed. You’re probably doing everything fine right now. :)

I will say from my experience, my Masters has helped my tremendously, however experience is golden! If you can do both, that would be great, not because you're a black female, but just because that is what the industry is looking for, but overall it depends on the company.
