From what ive heard. V2 only has better courtfeel compared to v1, due to less cushion thickness.

I bought the Nova Surge 2 mid top great shoes based on your reviews. Definitely recommend them

On the official Asics website in Taiwan, this model is called GELHOOP V16 S, and it's slightly heavier than the regular version(30g US9) I guess that's the downside of having an extra durable outsole.

As someone who plays both sports, I've found that volleyball players tend to explore basketball shoes more because basketball footwear has seen significant development lately, with many models offering comparable performance to big names like Sky and Netburner in every aspect (comfort, responsiveness, durability, aesthetics, etc.). Asics produces basketball shoes that perform decently, but their pricing is quite unfavorable. In both videos about Gelhoop and Gelburst, as well as Nova Surge 2, the channel owner Tommy Liu praised their performance but criticized their high price and hard to buy. This sentiment holds true; in Vietnam, it's rare to find basketball players wearing Asics shoes, but Chinese shoes of Li-Ning, Anta, 361 are very cheap, half the price compared to the US because we ordered them directly from China, as it's like searching for a needle in a haystack. However, among volleyball players, the usage of Asics basketball shoes is much more common.

I wear the Asiscs Sky Elite FF MT2 for volleyball and for me they look exactly the same as these, just some different materials and different tread pattern.

Where did you get your Asics fix from? Asics Japan carries 2E, 4E but they aren't selling them overseas. Not sure if any other countries' Asics are able to sell overseas. Can't find a proper 4E pair in Singapore, most of their retail outlets here only carry running or lifestyle. Their factory outlets only carry limited old stocks and no wide sizes. It's been frustrating hunting a proper Asics bball shoes for me. Haha

The net burner ballistics 3 can be used for basketball however, it lacks cushion in my opinion due to stack height being smaller. The model is a netball shoe so it does do basketball decently well just not as much cushion.

Good, more durable than other regular Asics hoop shoes. But traction for indoors is not as good unfortunately.

@@TommyLiu4 I think something was wrong. May be you tried Gelhoop v16s. The "s" are outdoor version of v16 and traction of s isn't good for indoor. But v16 regular is very well
