#1. The guy conducting the interview isn't even Black. He's African. The term BLACK has been high jacked by ppl, whom it doesn't even represent. Black is the self identifying term that descendants of slavery call themselves instead of referring to themselves according to what the colonizers referred to them as. From North to South America, we refused to be referred to as Negros, Negras, coloreds, Afro- American, Afro-Latino and every other term they called us. If anything, the channel's creator needs to have his feet held to the fire. How dare he publish content out into the world that disparages Black & African women? Is it because he identifies as African and not Black and thinks that old dude isn't speaking bad on African women? Is it because he himself dates out and doesn't feel the need to censor his content for the greater good? Does he feel the same way as the Korean guy? Does he value making KZread coins and social currency over women who identify as Black? What made him stoop so low to do that? Other men are going to have their opinions, I could careless, but why did he publish this nonsense about his own women & women in the African Diaspora? #2. So when he says Black, I don't even think he knows whom he's referring to because, let's be honest ... there are more African women from the continent of Africa in South Korea than there are US Black women (including military affiliated) or Black women from other locations in the Americas. Also, we know the differences between / amongst the women in the African Diaspora, but other races aren't that aware primarily because they don't have to be. #3. As it has already been pointed out, he's not the typical Korean looking guy, so he doesn't have much room to speak. The average Korean woman is going to crawl over glass to get his number, much less to be in his proximity. So what he's saying is what it is ... trash. We all have preferences, and he's not the poster guy for attractive Korean guys.

In regards to the High Value men comment, if you listen to or watch Asian content, specifically Chinese & Japanese, this has been a conversation they've been having for some time now. They're going thru a cultural battle between what I like to call "old traditional values and modern realistic values.'' What they consider High Value for men can be quite chauvinistic and can be subjugated to gender roles and outdated traditions (words of modern realistic women, not mine) Asian women. They're not too influenced by what we're doing over here. In fact, they, for the most part, side eye how we do relationships ... for the most part. This probably explains why KDrama, CDrams, JDrama, VDrama, and every other drama are consumed heavily by women outside of Asia. Women over there want out of traditional relationships, whereas most women over here want in.

But women who would I mean it's totally understandable given how *global* anti-blackness is. Asian people absolutely hate black people. It's fucked up. Too many of them have no foreigner policy, not to mention the lack of respect once you’re in the club. Like, idgaf if he’s attracted to Black Women, that ain’t got nothing to do with nothing, but he acting like the women in music videos are representative of how regular everyday women look is simply ignorant. He could’ve said that he hasn’t found a Black Woman IN S. Korea attractive and left it at that. Even the regular shmegular Black Women who are in S. Korea for any significant amount of time know not to go to Hongdae because they won’t be treated well, regardless of their looks.
