ASHTAVAKRA GITA : ONE OF RAMANA MAHARSHI'S MOST BELOVED BOOKS - audiobook - lomakayu

This wonderful Translation was done by BART MARSHALL. Thank you Bart and thank you for your personal and illuminating introduction .A truly transformative scripture. I am blessed in the reading of this text. There are many translations of this book and there are different ways for it TO LIVE THROUGH ME. The Translation itself guides me in the reading. Because this text is so transformative I will be doing several versions of it by different translators. I thought that Bart's was a good place to start as he begins his story with this book in the jungles of Vietnam. Update: hank you for you suggestion. I will be doing every known english translation of the Ashtavakra Gita as there is something their unity conveys beyond their individual versions. Beyond this text what is needed? And Yet all these versions hold a beautiful paradox and truth which I can not pretend to express. One truth many points of view leading to the one Truth. Is not this the beauty in the diversity of the world?

There is one translation of Ashtavakra Gita by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. I loved that one too. He sings the Sanskrit verses before he explains in simple English. I feel he captures profound depths of the scripture with such simplicity that a child could understand.

Long ago, read a book called The Heart of the Ribhu Gita. My recollection is that it was an excerpt. It was similar in some ways to the Heart Sutra by the way of negation. It still rings loud and clear. That would be a good one to add to this auspicious collection of luminous readings.

If we can't change our reality, if we will just do what we will automatically then why spend any energy telling others of anything. I believe that everything is the same in the Spirit but we are here to shape this Universe which is likely among a great many that only last a moment but still each has infinite possibilities depending on our individual it seems to me. I don't wear the uniform of a guru or an enlightened master but I know what stillness is and I've risen above the noise and confusion and seen the appearance of all things I perceive in a different light and this is my opinion from my point of view which I believe to be as valid as the teachers of Samadhi being something to surrender to in the physical world as I believe it can only be experienced in the Spiritual realm at most and possibly even only in the realm from which the Spirit emerged. 🙏

Oh and it also seems to me that the realm from which the Spirit emerged hasn't and won't ever experience anything. I do very much enjoy your videos though and I find much agreement with them. I just don't think it's a good idea to convince others that there is no such thing as free will just because nothing is permanent and everything will appear to be eventually but only in our imagination. 🙏
