In today’s episode of Figuring Out, Raj talks with Ashneer Grover, he was MD, and Co-Founder of BharatPe and now he is building his new startup Third Unicorn. He is also among the judges in the reality show Shark Tank India. He has completed his graduation from IIT Delhi and MBA from Indian IIM Ahmedabad.
Ashneer shares that it is really ironic that Bira has been his biggest portfolio investment even when he is nowhere near drinking! He elucidates why he left 9-5 work and joined an entrepreneurial venture and explains why the MRP of a product is problematic for India.
Ashneer shares his experience of working with different companies and startups like Kotak Investment Banking, Amex, Grofers, etc. and talks about his experience of being a part of Shark Tank India.

I don't know how but ended up watching the whole video. And the way he understands the need of market is really commendable.
Ashneer sir is very crystal clear on what he is doing and what he is saying....change is when entrepreneur like him starts becoming an idol for youths ❤
"If you don't like a person that much, get to know them better." Ashneer's image changed just listening to him. People were judging him just based on leaked audio. We all talk like that when we get angry. If we say we will hurt someone, we don't actually mean it. No one can say "How can he say like that" because we all behave like that. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. People are just waiting to point fingers at someone when he is doing something wrong, esp if he is famous. Go to the street behind your house, everyone talks like that and no one cares.

@@abhradeepgoswami3706 still it doesn't entitle him to threaten someone with his/her life. It is something fundamental and precedes money of any value. Also, if you have heard the tapes, the recipient of the threat was not himself responsible for the 'potential' loss. Ashneer didn't lose a single penny out of his own pockets. He should have taken a legal discourse against Kotak. This is also why the BharatPe management wants him in a passive role in the company's day to day affairs. Lastly, I do not care whether you agree or not. My comment was a specific reply to a specific person.

Boss..next level conversation tha ye..A big thanks for this interview. There are really a few people who can speak with this conviction and clarity. If someone could have earlier told me brutally on my face k bhai tu aisa blunder kr rha hai..I could have saved years of time.And I am so glad that Revamp approached Ashneer sir after Shark Tank.

@@adityasingh4187 sorry for foolishness,I was actually trying to pretend smart with english words in front of that girl but I can and do speak Hindi and to prove that the following sentences are an apology and clarification from my side : Lingswarupi manusya ki nazayaz jhaat na तो maine dusre comments may ashneer k barey may kuch bura bola hay na ही ees comment may bura bola hay,teri opportunistic and delusional brain cells ki misunderstanding hay jiski wajah say mera comment ka galat matlab tunay nikala intentionally maybe I think once you saw ki the original comment under which I have replied is that of a female and in order to look good and "rational" person which you clearly aren't at least in this regard.I simply criticized the girl for using the words "spotlight thief" to praise ashneer which I think was not adequate and justified way because he doesn't take a straight and purely rational stand for the sake of looking "bold" or to capture "spotlight" but that's how he truly is as a human being.People in India always have a problem and disliking for such personalities as we want sugarcoating and pleasing people who advice or direct us in our egotistically comfortable spaces instead of showing us the practical reality mirror and what we are doing in that space.
Ashneer understands the evening 'social outing' shopping trip and its implications on the online grocery shopping market. Choti si chiz hai but it shows how good he is at his job. Marketing ke time kafi log apne tech office ke bubble me rehte hai, ground realities ki kuch samajh nahi hoti unko.
People like ashneer should really join main stream politics and imagine ashneer as commerce minister CRAZY AF
