Folks... this is what modern country music, that's actually COUNTRY, sounds like. GLORIOUS!

Ash is simultaneously a throwback to the greats and the greatest of country music and completely modern and refreshing. Listening her feels new but also like this is the voice thats comforted me my entire life. ❤️

Her "First Thing I Reach For", for a new song, has every characteristic of a Country Classic, from the steel guitar, the upright bass, the harmonies vocals, etc. Everything but the twin fiddles! And Ashley's voice is just to die for! A Future HOFer, no doubt!

I love this song, I like both Carly and Ashley, but Ashley has some awesome pipes on her, song writers need to pitch her their songs. Ashley McBride is one of the best singers out in country music right now, she has a soulful sound.

I absolutely love Ashley!

She is truly a country singer! She hasn’t changed even though I’m sure she has been pressured to do so. I appreciate the fact that she is a class act. A lot of what is coming out of Nashville is pure garbage. It seem to straddle country, pop, and even rap. It will appeal to some folks but it’s not country! Some have sold out but Ashley has stayed true. Country is Life! It’s hard work, love and loss, family, friends, country and faith! I wish you ever success Ashley and my hope is that Nashville will get it right. You truly are a star.keep on shining Lady!

Both great performances. I like how Carly intentionally holds back….letting Ashley project her sound louder. They Really complement each other’s strengths.

They both held back on the choruses at the end of the other person’s verse. Ashley doesn’t need any help projecting her vocals, she’s the better vocalist on stage by a mile but both offered background harmonies to each other at the appropriate times.

Mark my words Ashely, you will be in the Country Music Hall of Fame in due time! I thought that when I very first came across your music in 2019. Lucky me to see you and meet you in 2021with my friend Marie, your biggest fans from Livermore California!! A new version was recorded by Deana Carter, with Ashley McBryde, Lauren Alaina, and Kylie Morgan, as an extra track on the 25th Anniversary Edition of the album "Did I Shave My Legs For This".

Congrats ladies! Billboard #1 May-9 '22. Of course, I knew it was coming weeks ago.

Wow such a great song sung by 2 of my favourite people in country music. Love you both ❤️❤️❤️. I’m homeless after losing everything I owned during covid lockdowns so all I have left is my love for real country music ❤️

I’m 16 and may be her youngest super fan, this woman got me through my roughest thing I’ve ever went through with the lyrics that say it all. A pick me up when I have an awful day, the concerts I look forwards to going to. I’ve been to a few of her concerts and they were the best thing I’ve ever experienced because I felt like me in the presence of a woman who saved me and dosent even know I exist. My birthday was last month and for a gift my parents got a painter to paint a portrait of her on a vinyl record and frame it. It sits on my dresser and it’s the first thing I see. My dad posted a photo of me with it on Instagram and she saw it and that was one of the most impactful things I’ve ever had happen to me. I so can’t wait for an opportunity to see her face to face and just tell her how much she’s helped me and got me through the impossible
