AOL is absolutely breathtaking. The actors, story, direction and cgi was amazing. One of the best if not the best Chinese drama I have ever seen. Can't get over the chemistry. I have read the book and though there were quite a few changes in story the essence of the story was beautifully kept,. They tied everything so well that I am actually amazed at the writers. The human realm story was not in the book I read but it became a catalyst to move the story forward. Kudos to the entire team.. So when can we see this beautiful couple again.. M still waiting for 2 years and repeating this drama every few months 😂

Sheena Narayan I agree although I read the book and I felt the show eclipsed the book except when she goes to see him in the Demon realm. Loved everything about this story, acting was fantastic, costumes, I’m still playing the soundtrack ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@holycow92883 I totally agree. In fact the actors brought the emotional aspects brilliantly that I feel book was not able to encapsulate. The depth of emotions portrayed in certain scenes were heart wrenching 😭😭and I must say every aspect was a class of its own. 👏👏👏. To say I cried alot would be an understatement... M still facing withdrawals of this drama 😩

Deng Lun is such a talented actor, one of the best of his generation. He sings very well too and I love his voice singing this song, love how he expressed his emotions towards Jin Mi 😍

Calling all producer please another drama for yang zi and Deng lun please.

There will be Ashes of Love 2.. but it's based on their children... sigh... hopefully Deng Lun and Yang Zi don't just get cameo parts. They are filming another new drama together called 大中医, I think filming is already underway (some news sites reported that filming is from April -> August 2019). It's a story about how Deng Lun's character became a soldier and witnessed sufferings during war, he noticed how honorable the doctors were and from then formed an interest in the medical field. He will learn from the best and eventually become a renown doctor. Because of the nature and complexity of the show, the content of this show took 4 years of research. It's another period drama set in olden days China. Sadly, Yang Zi doesn't play Deng Lun's love interest. His girlfriend/wife will be played by an actress said to be so beautiful that it only happens once in every 4000 years (Ju JingYi). Many fans are not happy with the new lead actress, they are afraid she and Deng Lun might form better CP/chemistry than Deng Lun with Yang Zi... Both dramas are said to be released in year 2020

You know what's beautiful about their love? It transcends lifetimes. Human Xu Feng loved her enough to drink poison for her. Human Jin Mi, unrestrained by the pill, disobeyed the law and loved him dearly. 😭 This drama made me bawl so hard.

I mean she was supposed to be his funerary, but when she died, he volunteered to be her funerary. Not even his status as a king could make him want to live, he literally choose not to live without her. 💔😭💔 Now, help me cry 😭

This show was Soooooooo Good I Just finished it on Netflix and Its one of my Fav Chinese Dramas By farrrr💯❤️

If you LOVED this drama, like I did, you will also LOVE "The Legend of Fu Yao" with Ethan Ruan and Yang Mi. Their chemistry is off the charts from the very beginning. Same strong love connection between them as this drama. Wuji (Ethan Ruan) would sacrifice everything he has to protect his love Fu Yao (Yang Mi). It's a beautiful drama and story. Actually it was my all-time favorite, but now "Ashes of Love" has made it a tie! Even the soundtrack for this drama is beautiful!

Love the whole 6 realms mystical mythology immortal divine period-costume love story concept... Great casting, great chemistry between the 2 leads. It's especially interesting with Deng Lun because I didn't think that he is good looking at the start but he's got his charms... the composed cold steel-like narcissistic attitude, strong masculine jaw-line, and the deep tone in his voice... the way he speaks, often times down to almost a whisper, I find that really sexy... I like this kind of discovery with actors, where they are able to change my opinion about them. Deng Lun reminds me of the Korean actor Park Seo Joon (Hwarang, What's Wrong With Secretary Kim), both I didn't like at first but super attractive and charismatic in the end.

I love Deng Lun with Yang Zi and I love Park Seo Joon with Park Min Young. They have become the 'It Couple', the most perfect for me, they are all so good looking and their acting and chemistry seem so natural and real. These two couples spoilt other shows for me, I can't enjoy their shows matched with other actors or actresses any more...

@@chezzasan2730 you took the words ryt out of my mouth. I've tried watching several series after AOL. And I couldn't even get to the half of the first episode. My mind always do auto-compare of how perfectly this two fit together. And how amazingly theyve immortalize every emotion and makes you believe how their love transcends heart breakingly and ashtonishingly through different lifetimes. The mortal life ending was tragically wrenching yet so satisfying that given their circumstance there's no other way you'd wish it'd be. They've sit the bar high and now I'm afraid no Cdrama will be good enough as much as this one for me.❤️❤️❤️The casting is awesome and the soundtrack is everything❤️❤️❤️
