Incase any of you're planning to watch this...I'm telling you,it's better than any movie or show I've watched and any book or story that I've read. It's totally worth watching, It's going to make you laugh alot,cry a bit and you might even be able to sympathize with everyone including the villains. It has a very happy ending. The Romance is UNBELIEVABLY heart warming and the graphics,stunt scenes etc are just amazing. The drama itself is beautiful. And not to mention how hot the entire cast is...

There are 3 versions of the song Unsullied. One that Mao Buyi sings which is the Opening theme song and the 2nd from female singer Sa Dingding who also sings the ending them song "Upwards to the Moon". They use her version during episodes and Mao's both beginning and during episodes too. Later in the series they love using the songs at really sad parts. The 3rd version is from Jian Hongyi. I'm not certain when they use that version though. Per Wikipedia. Singer Sa Dingding is also the Immortal of Fate and Destiny if anyone didn't know that. She appears later on. This is just a FYI for new people to this series.

Watch it in lock down. I wish I can erase my memory and watch it back all over again. Best series world wide ( English, chinese, korean, Arabic, Hispanic...) trust me I watch everything but this one is just top notch 👌

If you're new here (not like me watching this for the 7th time 🙄) first of all, I envy you that you're going to experience this for the first time without knowing what's going to happen, I wish I could reset my memory. And second of all please give this a chance and don't drop it. This drama is a masterpiece and it will change you trust me. Prepere to suffer of course because it wouldn't be a Chinese drama without suffering 🙄 but it's totally worth it, it may be little slow in the beginning or you may not be completely interested at first but it gets so much better ❤️ (sorry for my English)

The untamed( Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo) and GoGo Squid ( Yang zi and Li Xian) a modern drama but it’s really good I recommend

if you’re into intense plots, ancient stuff, fights, and mind blowing logic, I recommend Joy of Life. It’s also really funny throughout. A modern recommendation is A Love So Beautiful. Other recs are Legend of the Condor Heroes, Return of the Condor Heroes, Mengfei Comes Across, Yanxi Palace, and then idk if you’ll like these two but they’re Legend of Miyue and Nirvana in Fire. I’ve watched a lot of Chinese dramas before so I can’t remember all of the good ones at once lol, but hey, there’s the internet and lots of reviews xD

I'm a Kdrama fan but "Ashes of Love" & "The Eternal Love"(starring Liang Jie & Xing Zhao Lin) were the most top rated recommended and interesting Cdrama that I had watched. The chemistry of the main leads, the theme song and the storyline is superb. I don't know how many times I had watched it but after watching it, I became an Asian drama fan xD so, I tried to watch many historical cdramas. However, this two will always be my 'Top 2 All Time Favorite Historical Cdrama'. I highly recommend it as a certified Asian Drama fan, you'll never regret it. (Also, special mention to Zhao Lusi having different time travel drama, her character is just hillarious...I love her character on "Oh My Emperor" and "Romance of Tiger and Rose" kekeke xD)

I'm on the 16th episode of Ashes of Love. Jin MI's birthstory is revealed and she got to know who is her real father, i.e. The Water Immortal (I forgot his name :P), Now Run Yu is hoping to marry Jin Mi as per the royal pact. So all I can see is a complex love triangle, and a triangle in triangle. Call me stone hearted or anything but I can't bear Jin Mi's stupidity at some point. But i'm totally in for Fights and War Scenes and all those magical spell summoning. So is it worth to go ahead and watch Ep 16 and so on?? Please Help.

Best show ever!!! How is this not the highest rated C-drama..its amazing!!!funny, insightful, romantic, so much feelings in this. I cried so much. Better than any American show. It puts them to shame . It tells a touching story without cussing, and sex. It has honor, loyalty, sacrifice, love so many things we could learn and eally need to.. ♡♡♡♡♡~rewatching it from the beginning

AoL is amazing. My favorite cdrama love story alongside Love and Redemption, and Word of Honor. No disrespect as I grew up on Hollywood fare and still love the golden oldies, but I switched to Asian content 3 years ago and haven't looked back. They're so well done, so beautiful without being tawry, no gratuitous sex and violence. To this day, Nirvana in Fire is still my favorite drama of all time. Better than GoT.

Well if people are watching this drama even years after it’s been released and I know someone like me is like come back to watch the second or third time, wouldn’t you say it’s another way to prove this is a great drama?

When I was starting to watch this...I feel like I will gonna be bored...because 63 episodes it's too long and I don't like historical drama...but when I finished watching this 63 episodes, it's too short..I want more episodes and when I watched this, this is my favorite drama even though this is a historical drama....I finished watching 63 episodes in just 3 days... you will not gonna be bored on 63 episodes worth it to watch....you will not esealy gonna move on after watching this drama .....after I watched this drama I don't know how will I gonna come back to my real word.....roller coaster emotion.... I've watched it many times, I've watched different kinds of drama but this is still the best drama in my heart💓.....

just finished watching this. if you are wondering whether or not to watch, i highly recommend. i normally binge watch and dont watch all the parts but only the parts of the main leads. took me days to finish because i watched almost every part! totally worth it! can cry a river... but its happy ending! better than i expected! love won (atleast in the fictional world..)

Gosh.. I thought Empress Ki and Moon Lover are the BEST drama ever in my life.. until I watched Ashes Of Love and I can't move on. For those of you who are wondering whether this drama is worth watching or not, believe me you will not regret it . Thanks to all the actor and actress. Especially Deng Lun, He deserves the title of BEST actor in history. Only through his eyes and facial expressions he is able to perfectly portray his character. ❤️ Ah, I recommend that you read the novel version as well when you have free time. The story is very good and easy to understand. 👍

i just watched Ancient Love Poetry, then it had me wondering why I didn't invest in watching cdrama before. Moon Lovers and Empress Ki was my fav before, but ALP exceeded my expectations. Gonna watch Ashes of Love now. I hope it's great!

after the untamed, word of honor, princess agents and many more historical/wuxia/xianxia dramas I have watched, I was hesitating to watch this because it's so long lmao. But I decided to give it a shot now because I can see it everywhere in the most recommended cdramas.

First time watching this!! , They said it's really really good drama .... Since I can't sleep I'll try to watch it Im also here for Lou yunxi HEHEHE

This is one of the best Chinese series that I liked. The story is amazing. It has the astonishing depth of the different realms that makes the story seem utterly real aside from the fantastic elements they’ve used. From the plot, it shows that no matter how you control love, as long as it’s pure it will always find a way to the right person you are in love with or to the better half of yourself.

作为一个对国产剧没有什么兴趣的人，发自内心地说这部剧真的是良作，虽然一开始担心会不会是脑残低龄言情剧，但是这是唯一一部让我看了又看第二遍第三遍的，启用新演员很有新鲜感，主角配角演技非常好那份深情让人十分投入，特效场景很用心，就如网游大片般的cg令人向往，主线副线剧情紧张且有趣。整体说来，就算有些许的小瑕疵根本不值一提。以前玩过仙剑古剑类似的仙侠rpg游戏，也喜欢动漫，可能比较能带入世界观和剧情，各花入各眼，如果接受不了而喜欢严谨现实的人大可去看正剧。对我来说，今年能找到这部剧真的是太好了。😆

I thought I'll be bored. 63 eps so much😏 now it's done. I've been detouched from the real world for quite some times and it's hard to move on. I rarely cried watching a drama. Here my emotions have been drained out. My favorite seen ever when Xu Feng is just crying devastatingly. This seen shows that he got a sweet taste of happiness for a good minute. Before experiencing another bitter departure with Jin Mi. And then after waiting 500 years on top of that just shows his love for her is so much deeper than we think. We saw an immortal who knows how to love a single girl for the rest of his life. Salute to the entire team who associated with this drama. And Congratulations for the success ❤

So now it's my 3d time to watch Ashes of love I don't know why i am coming back here 😂 let's watch it again remember all😂😂😂

Anyone who is thinking if the drama is worth watching. Think no more. I have watched it more than twice and I can't express how much I love this drama and their chemistry. The songs are to die for. I used to hear the songs everyday straight for a month and so. Still cannot get over them. It is very swoonworthy for someone looking for romcom and feel good drama. Enjoy!

Udah berkali-kali nonton drama ini. Gak ada bosennya... Rasa nya masih tetap sama. Bapernya masih tetap sama Emosinya juga tetap sama Sama spt saat pertama saya menontonnya. Suka banget Yang zi dan Deng lun

When I started this, I worried AOL could be overhyped. After finishing it, I can say that AOL deserves ALL the hype it has, and MORE!🙌 Heads-up: you'll get your heart shredded, several times. But it's all worth it! You'll also laugh and dream and think and melt🥰💕 The story is from a book, but there were some changes, like the Mortal Realm part and especially second couple. I haven't finished the book yet but so far I actually like the changes. The plot has some HUGE surprises even within the frame of classic XianXia genre tropes (and has the best Mortal Realm arc I've watched thus far, not dragging, with both romance and action, comedy and drama, and integral part of characters' growth). Soundtrack is great (I expecially love Unparalleled in the world, sung by the ML and FL, and the ending, + the "something cool is gonna happen" music). CGI may not be as good as in Ancient Love Poetry but was well done for when it was filmed (2017) and still a lot better than in many c-dramas, even more recent ones. Acting is all around good, and all 3 leads did a great job in portraying nuances and change. Also used their real voices, which I appreciate (DengLun's💕) Many characters, not only the leads, are fleshed out, and our opinion of them changes throught the drama - for the good or the bad. There's a very well-done "how evil was born" and in general antagonists aren't one-dimensional, they all have their motives and you even feel sorry for (most of) them at some point. Some get redemption, some don't, but it's never black and white. FL starts as cliche childish&naive type (don't let it put you off! she feels genuine and likeable even like that) and undergoes tremendous growth (fascinating how even mannerism and voice changed). And then there's the charistmatic, unforgettable Phoenix😍😍 Romantic (and tragic) hero (but there's happy ending), Phoenix is presented at the beginning as your typical alpha character, at times bossy, certainly powerful and very self-assured and persuasive, but he's much more than that. Maybe "noble" is actually the most apt description, with all its upsides and downsides. Voice, eyes, little expressions, gestures... I had never watched Deng Lun before, but Phoenix made me into a fan (and he truly is an amazing actor. And that voice!) The one criticism I could have for AOL, is that it feels Phoenix got too little screen time for a lead😅 certainly feels less than 2ML... though, even when Phoenix is not around, a lot of things happen because of him (I also wish they'd used young actors for some of the parents' flashbacks, instead of relying on same actor using fake "younger" voice)

This cdrama is evergreen.... The cast the story line everything although it has 63 episode.... But i swear to God.... You will not get bored on single episode... This gems of Chinese drama I m watching second time .... In 2023 ... One one watching in 2023 ...

This is the best drama ever. Worth the 63 episode. All the directors, crew members, cast member,extras did a phenomenal job.

To all future viewers, I'll assure you that this drama is one of the best Chinese drama you'll ever watch! It will make you happy,love angry, lonely, sad, mad and cry so hard😭. Hence, it will hit you so hard that you cannot not easily moved on!😭😭😭. The agony and sufferings of the characters being performed by the actors are so on point!This is one of the drama series that shows a very tragic love trials and as a spoiler, for that kind of tragic love no one will expect a HAPPY ENDING. 63 episodes are so WORTH TO WATCH👍👍👍.
