Ok a coupe of questions. First should I create a new Rescue Bootable flash drive for version 17 or keep and use the one created by version 16? And will the Backup continue if the pc enters Sleep Mode?

Hello, We recommend to create a new Rescue Bootable flash drive. Regarding the "Sleep Mode", you can set in the backup plan that the backup should continue to run in "Sleep Mode". Regards Ashampoo team

Compared to Backup Pro 16, 17 Pro seems to struggle in windows 11When flicking through, the Backup screen app multiplies . Also when pausing during a backup, when you come to resume, it re-starts from the beginning. How about a comparison between Backup Pro 16 & Backup Pro 17? Hardly any difference to me.

Hello, Unfortunately, backing up individual programs in order to install them on another system will not work with Ashampoo Backup Pro 17. You can create the entire system, files, folders or even a backup as a rescue system, over which you can then quickly restore the entire system. Your Ashampoo team

Let's pretend it can create backups. What about the restore process after a system rash ? When restoring a file from an image, is the creation time restored as well ?

Hello, if you cut a file from the virtual drive and paste it into the real drive, the creation date stays the same. If you only copy and paste the file, the current date will be taken as the creation date. Regards Ashampoo team

Hello, You have a safe backup according to the 3-2-1 rule. Three safe copies of the backup These are located on two different drives And one of them is not in your office This would give you a certain basic base that is safe. Your Ashampoo team

@@ashampoo I understand, but for home users with little time and knowledge, an active protection of backups is most practical (and necessary these days). Please consider that function for the future, which is why I currently use Macrium Reflect, but this one does not have a "Realtime Backup" feature unfortunately :(

Yes I absolutely agree with Wiljan5560. The whole purpose of this program is really about backing up and restoring an image on a new PC or onto a new drive. Please cover this plus How to Restore ASAP!!!!! I mean this is really the most important reason for using your program!! How about doing this in the next couple of days! Thx.

Thank, you! If you select a whole drive in your backup plan, then an image will be made of your hard drive. I'm not quite sure if that answers your question though. Regards Your Ashampoo team

I was offered a 30-day trial of this software, and when I installed it, I only had 10 days. Also, the Rescue USB feature doesn't work because it fails to copy a required file to the stick. Complete garbage.
