Because we want other fans to come to are stadium have fun and root for your team without fearing for your life. If Oakland really wanted to keep the Raiders all they had to do was build a stadium. We managed to get a 2 billion dollars stadium and it didn't cost us locals one penny. Because we're smart in Vegas we made the tourist pay for most of it though a hotel tax. Why couldn't Oakland come up with something like that?

I became a fan when I lived in L.A. in 1989. I went to Oakland for week one vs Denver and had a good time in a win. The crowd was very rowdy, boisterous and passionate as I expected. The fanbase can be a little intimidating to some people. I remember seeing a family with small kids looking kind of scared as a large mass of fans were yelling "RAIIIIIIDERRRRS," as they were heading to the exits. I will always be a fan! RN4L

Plus they release the up coming nfl schedule in April maybe she planned the wedding before the schedule came out ever thought about tgat some people plan there wedding a year in advance while the nfl schedule is released a 2 months before the start of the season.

Caught an Oakland game at the Colosseum last year. I was in San Fran for Monday night football for the Giants and Niner game (Giant fan). But while I was there with friends for the weekend we caught the raiders while in town and I really digged the fans there. Raiders fans you guys are awesome! I fell in love with the atmosphere there! I took a walk in the parking lot before the game, the mixed diversity you see there is beautiful! You can hear hip-hop and Mexican Music all mixed together and everyone getting along with an incredible vibe! I would never switch teams but if I did I’d switch to being a Raider because of that day! Love and respect at first sight!

JUST WIN BABY! I’m a Raider fan, born and raised in West LA. I was only 5 when they left to go back up to Oakland. I remember going to games as a 4 and 5 year old at the LA Coliseum and having so much fun with my whole family. My dad raised me to be a die hard Raider fan, through the good times, and the bad. And for us Raider fans, there has been a lot of bad. But, I will always be a Raider fan whether they play here, Oakland, Las Vegas, or Anchorage. Silver and Black forever!

Missed his son's wedding for a raiders game, and he brags about it like it is something to be proud of. Classy.

I'll give the fans this accolade, I volunteered at Chargers old stadium in San Diego for charity that had part proceeds of the beer/snack booth going to a good cause in my community - my beer tap quit working so orders were slowed down considerably (along with a bit of stress of serving everyone in line as alcohol was getting cut-off at half-time). I dealt with rude Charger fans that day but not one Raider fan got out-of-line, in actuality, they were really patient & understanding re the situation.

Raiders fan here! The people of Oakland should never be forgotten for creating a legendary fan base i.e. “The Black Hole” for a legendary team! Las Vegas Raiders does not have the same ring as The Oakland Raiders!

When you miss your son's wedding over a football game, you need counseling.

I attended a game in the opponent’s gear at the Coliseum a few years back. A few friendly, and frankly expected jabs and taunts as we walked around, but the people we met and talked to were wonderful and classy people who LOVE their Raiders.

No more raider fans... And a franchise that moves closer to a success level of the 2000's Cleveland Browns.... Forever

If you’re gonna hate make sure you hate the city of Oakland, they promised the Raiders a new stadium that’s the reason why they left L.A. Having won 3 Super Bowls and not having a modern day stadium sucks. Oakland didn’t want to build a new stadium so Vegas it is.

Greatest fans in the world!! NOBODY can blame the fans of the Raiders. If you want to look for blame; Look no further than the State of California and the City of Oakland! 60 years in "The Dump" aka Oakland Alameda County Coliseum is the real reason owner Marc Davis packed up and moved for greener pastures. Vegas will be a good fit for the Raider Nation. Looking forward to it myself. As a Raiders fan since the days of Darryl Lamonica, I bleed Silver and Black!! With that said, The City of Oakland has lost something they will never be able to replace. As a fan myself, I thank them for setting the standard for "True Fans" everywhere! The Raider Nation is truly special and so are the individuals under the costumes and make up. GOD BLESS THE SILVER AND BLACK!

I love my Raiders but some of these fans are insane, missing a wedding or funeral for a game that is just crazy.

At the end of the day, it's just a game. What is wrong with these people?

We are all over the place, I grew up in NoCal. But since lived in the south and now Midwest, still and always a Raider fan, and living in central Illinois now,I'm not alone when heading to a bar on Sunday to watch them play there are several of us and it's been like that everywhere I have lived.

NO it will not be the same. Vegas parking lot is a mile away. The cost to go from where I live in CA going to cost me $1000. I am good with just watching them on TV.

Parking lot a mile away? 49er parking situation in Santa Clara just might be the same from what I read on Yelp, or maybe the Niner lot is 2 miles away. So that's one way they deter tailgate parties but not the only way. No Black Hole allowed in LV and boy is that a stab in the back, there's a reason why they killed the Black Hole, take a guess. I speculate the LV crowd will be radically different than the Oakland crowd.

The Corporations who buy the skyboxes and enter into naming rights deals over stadiums don't like the "Look" of Raider crowds. Too many black and brown faces scaring the bigger spending upscale whites from buying suites and club seating because they are scared of getting shanked in the parking lot. It's like they operate under Trump casino rules "More police and less Latinos."

Can't wait till Vegas! Been to a ton of games in Oakland and a couple in L.A.......I went to see the new stadium in person.....looks amazing!!!

Some fan base the Raiders are that Booed off their team because they lost their last home game. Pretty classy to throw food on the field as well, great raider fans huh!

And Mark Davis moved the Raiders away from generations of loyal fans. Punching them all in the face as if they and absolutely nothing. When they were the ones that filled his pockets with money and supported the team for years. They will never get another Dime from me. I lived through the move to LA and supported them when they came back. This is like your wife leaving you twice. I'm done.

How about if they moved , came back , and moved again? Worst treatment of a fan base anywhere , what they did to Oakland. Many here that I know , myself included , will just be casual occasional watchers now. They moved out of state , many feel abandoned. The NFL is getting worse , the athletes aren't role models or heroes anymore. They're "brands" , and showboats who care more about social media than their teams . Makes me sick

@ The NFL is all about corporations. It's no longer primarily about blue-collar fans connecting with a team and passing that love down over generations. Teams are just another civic amenities like parks, the theater, museums, schools, and nightlife, to draw white-collar workers to work for a particular corporation in a particular city.

My uncle is a die hard raider fan and couple a weeks ago he went to vegas for work, when he got home he realized he past by the new raider stadium a couple times a day and he didn't even notice i guess he's not thrilled for them leaving. He was like "oh that's what they were building it looked dead honestly "lol

Everyone knows you dont get married on game day. That's why they're called "die hard" football fans. Meaning they will die before missing a game. Football is some people's only get away. He said this with so much "conviction," because he probably told his son that if he schedule it he wouldn't make it and his son scheduled it anyway because he didn't really want him there to begin with. We got the super Bowl bound 49ers! When the Raiders left to go to Los Angeles; the 49ers won super Bowls for us! And, we did not miss the Raiders! The same thing is happening over again!

The new Las Vegas Stadium won't even have a parking lot so there will be no tailgating, and I think Vegas did that on purpose

Gonna get hate for this but I've been a fan of the raiders since I was born and there's been a lot of losing in that time and I've always stayed a fan but after Al Davis died it feels like his son just wants quick money and doesn't care about the fan base. This move to Vegas just makes it feel like to me that they are abandoning a fan base that has always stayed strong.

Actually Mark Davis did everything he could to stay in Oakland he did not want to move but the local city council would not work with him. The coliseum is falling apart has cracks in its foundation and the City turn a blind eye to the Raiders .

Al Davis wanted to stay in So Cal and build a stadium out there @ Hollywood Park but that fell through so he had to move back to Oakland. Mark Davis is making serious moves and the venue in Vegas is going to be top notch for years to come. Thank Libby for all that she didn't do.

The Raiders management is dirty for leaving Oakland . . .again. I can never support them. I stopped being a Raiders fan when they left to socal.

Are minor league baseball team has the highest attendance in the minor league even average more fans then the Miami Marlins and they weren't a good team last year had no key prospects. Vegas is a sports town. Plus the casino will buy up alot of the ticket just give to there VIP. We have people coming to vegas from all around the world. You think someone from China wouldn't want to see an American football game in Vegas?

That doesn't apply to sports, it's about consistency and loyalty and the supporters in your city. Especially for a club like the raiders with their long suffering fans. At least Cleveland kept their identity and Art Modelle had to rename the club the Ravens.

If I was a Raiders fan from the Bay Area I would never give money, or waste my time with the Vegas 'franchise'. In world soccer culture the fans would never allow such a move to happen. Heads would roll, and if it did the old fans would never support the club in another city.

Las Vegas raiders will never sound right and it won’t be the same. The best fans are here in Oakland.
