It is what it is. I kind of figured the band would be on borrowed time when they reformed, knowing that there just wasn't any way for things to ever be completely the same. I was surprised they even reformed at all when it happened. At least we got 1 more good album before it finally seems to have fully imploded. Was fun while it lasted.

This is sad… I want to be optimistic but Nick Hippa, Jordan Mancino, and especially Josh Gilbert’s clean vocals were a huge part of the formula that made this band awesome. Not sure if a new line up can capture all that ☹️

Meh. Clint Norris did amazing for AILD in their first two albums. Gilbert will be missed, but he's replaceable. So are Hipa and Mancino if I'm honest. As long as Sgrosso at the very least remains, I don't think AILD will change that much at its core.

As long as the crushing metal continues with the positive lyrics of change, I'm down for another album.

I really hope they can carry on. I'm interested to see how things unfold once the dust has settled a little and the other guys open up as to what's been going on. Not sure that might actually happen though as it's pretty obvious from new information that this turmoil has been happening for quite some time but hadn't been made fully public. Both Nick and Jordan seem to have been put in a situation where they were forced to make statements that there were issues in the band, as opposed to an official statement from the band itself. Maybe some time is/was needed to figure things out between members and someone (not saying Tim specifically, because we don't know) wanted to just move forward as quickly as possible? Who knows. I wish them the best and I'm glad to hear that they're still doing great live without the other guys.

I saw them live last night and I'll say this, they did rather well with the 3 fill in members. They actually put on a great show! In saying all of this, it wasn't the same as the lineup before the 3 members left but the world is full of very talented musicians. Although the core of the 3 exiting members were massively talented, there's others out there equally as talented. Here's to hoping Tim finds the right replacements and that this band don't turn into another Queensryche debacle because of lawsuits and such...

During the show, he paused to thank everyone for still allowing him to do what he loves. Let's hope that he was being sincere and that it means he was rehabilitated. I also agree with you on the band members. When this all took place, they tried to move on with Wovenwar since Tim was a founding member of AILD. Well, we all know that didn't go well in the end. It just wasn't the same band. I think all of this turmoil is the after effect of the decisions he made. Let's face it, good musicians are everywhere. the chemistry from a select group of musicians are not. @@Hippo007 I think they wanted to recapture the nostalgia they had with AILD Turning a blind eye to Tim pleading guilty to attempted murder thinking he was in some way innocent. Four years is a long time to be apart and their side project band wasn’t succeeding without having Tim as their frontman So they selfishly reformed AILD to regain the fame and money that was lost while Tim was in prison. It gradually occurred to them that Tim is not a good person as his dark personality traits were resurfacing And isn’t innocent of anything which strained their conscience and made them want to leave. I was and still am a huge AILD fan But I’d be a huge hypocrite to support a guy who tried to kill his wife by going to their live concert which is occurring tonight in my city. I had every intention of going leading up to it until today when I realized the reality of what I was about to see. I think these guys felt the same as it took them a while to have all that sink in.

I’m going to be honest, this whole statement is kind of sus... I think Jordan probably owns part of the name, and only wanted his royalties before he left, and now Tim is trying to pin the blame on him. “2 years ago” was when Nick and Tim’s jail wife both left, and it says a lot about when the fractures in the band fully opened up. The way he says “the remaining members” like Jordan is part of a minority is almost laughable, as Tim’s pushed away everyone expect Phil (for the minute anyway). At the end of the day, nothing that guy says can be taken as truthful, as we’re talking about someone who tried to kill his wife and showed no remorse until he came out of jail and realised his band had moved on without him. He then wrote a whole record about being “healed” which just became a bit toxic tbh...

Tim will find a way to make it work. I don't judge people but when you lose your mind and try to hire someone to off your wife I understand how lingering I'll effects can exist. Sometimes it good to walk away instead of being unhappy. The music will remain and the lyrics will still be there. It's just different faces.

Funny reading some comments from dudes who never made money with music. Lambesis clearly owns the band, he has the right to keep doing it. And as he stated, the remaining guitar player seems to be one of the main songwriters. Hippa might be very popular, Josh aswell, but they are 100% replaceable. Where’s wolvenwar? 😂😂

It would seem he probably doesn't own the band because he NEEDS them to participate at least on a "business" level (as stated in his press statement) in regard to royalties and merch etc (if he owned the band outright their continued involvement would be unnecessary for him), but they can't deal with him so they have walked away from it all and got lawyers to do the business of the band.

@@somewhatsomething4882 😂😂😂 He would not be able to do a lot of things he is doing if the guys were sooo much in the business like you are saying. If josh want a pay out, he will have to sue for that. Same shit with Fear Factory and Dino Cazares. Dude invested so much in the band that the other guys including burton had no power. Burton lost all his money fighting for money that didn’t belong to him. I’ll tell you, Josh won’t sue because he won’t make money, so that’s what they do, they try to create those situations so they can get a payout. Simple as that. Tim Lambesis have so much ownership that he didn’t not allowed the band to keep going with another singer. And they didn’t do anything without him and formed a new band. The new band didn’t work, specially because of the lack of investment. Tim make a lot of money and before going to jail he had several business going on. You guys think this bands go on tour or studio paid by the label? When they do so, they become slaves of their label. In case of AILD Tim lambesis invested so they didn’t have to get a loan with the bank or label. Doing so you gain power into the business and at some point you end up taking it over. Specially if you do the songwriting.

I was slightly comforted by it being Nick Pierce filling in for Jordan before I last saw them but was horribly disappointed at the show. Knowing this songs so well as Jordan plays them, I could hear everything that was off. Wrong fills, wrong accents and just touches the kit in a completely different way. No knock on Nick he’s phenomenal but he’s not Jordan and doesn’t sound like Jordan. I won’t be going to another live AILD show without Jordan.
