"Blinded" music video directed by Frankie Nasso.
------
Shaped By Fire was produced by the band and was mixed by Joseph McQueen at Sparrow Sound in Los Angeles, CA while mastering was completed by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in Nashville, TN. The only exception was for the track “My Own Grave” which was produced by AS I LAY DYING, co-produced by Drew Fulk and mixed by Adam “Nolly” Getgood. The artwork was created by Corey Meyers.
Shaped By Fire Track Listing:
1. Burn To Emerge
2. Blinded
3. Shaped By Fire
4. Undertow
5. Torn Between
6. Gatekeeper
7. The Wreckage
8. My Own Grave
9. Take What's Left
10. Redefined
11. Only After We've Fallen
12. The Toll It Takes
------
"BURN TO EMERGE" LYRICS
will i ever escape?
can we ever change?
"BLINDED" LYRICS
have you ever been blinded by the pain?
blinded (blinded) by the pain
unwilling to see, senseless
so blinded by selfishness only focusing on myself
and ignoring anyone else
becoming driven by despair
feeling trapped into a corner
losing more and more of reality
perceiving all the hurt only one-sidedly
have you ever been blinded by the pain?
losing yourself inside the heartache
losing yourself
feeling too powerless to change
stuck and unable to escape
incapable to see another way
i need someone to shake me... to wake me
i don't even need full clarity
just to start the shift from blind to blurry
have you ever been blinded by the pain?
losing yourself inside the heartache
and does that mean we cannot change?
or will we always be seen that way?
will we always be seen that way?
and does that really mean we have not changed?
or does it only mean
the truth is not in how we're seen?
but in the actions that we're now determined to take
revealing the new path we chose to mend the heartache
was it a pattern or a disastrous mistake?
is the truth in what you see or what i say?
have you ever been blinded by the pain?
losing yourself inside the heartache
and does that mean we cannot change?
or will we always be seen that way?
be seen that way?
blinded by the pain?
and does that really mean we have not changed?

Nowadays we are bombarded by new sounds every day, somehow makes us forget how the original sound sounded like. They did it right by bringing back the nostalgia to us. It's the sound we all wanted to hear all along. I personally love the bridge+outro part really brings me back and never gets old to my ear.

I've been struggling mentally for the past decade dealing with a whole background of being dogged on and treated like garbage. I joined the military and had the displeasure of being under the most toxic of leadership. Two of my friends committed suicide and I left. I tried helping who I could while I was in letting them know what rights they had as junior enlisted so they couldn't get bullied around. After I left I lost my son and my mom around the same time along with both my grandads, my health took a major plunge and a slue of other things This song has helped alot with me dealing with it. Getting motivated and having a perspective shift.

Man, 10 years ago AILD gave me a reason to live, when i was all alone. They did what no one else did - they built my character, they gave me the way of thought, they gave me some skin, some armor, they made me get up from my lowest low. 10 years later some stupid shit still can destroy me in just a moment, but AILD never left me and always held my back. Right now i am falling again but next week i am gonna see AILD twice on 24th and 25th. Writing this with tears in the eyes.

Hell yeah brother! AILD helped me through some brutal workouts and tough times to keep pushing through. My favorite band of all time. Seen them live recently always regretted not seeing them when I was younger before the mishap and was so happy and astounded they got back together. I watched their brutal videos of how it affected all of them in their own way and how each individually dealt with it. Keep pushing through and I'll be rooting for you. Everyone deserves happiness =]

Lyrics ....... Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Blinded, blinded by the pain Unwilling to see, senseless So blinded by selfishness Only focusing on myself And ignoring anyone else Becoming driven by despair Feeling trapped into a corner Losing more and more of reality Perceiving all the hurt only one-sidedly Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Losing yourself inside the heartache Losing yourself Feeling too powerless to change Stuck and unable to escape Incapable to see another way I need someone to shake me, to wake me I don't even need full clarity Just to start the shift from blind to blurry Have you ever been blinded by the pain? Losing yourself inside the heartache And does that mean we cannot change? Or will we always be seen that way? Will we…
