I grew up in the church. I'm the son of a pastor. I'm a leader within my church. I am a Bible College graduate. I love God. I have always loved God. He has healed me of all my sin and changed me on all things, except one. I have been dealing with one sin for about 17 years. I am not one to cry. But this song (and the scripture it is based on) had me completely broken as I listened to it for the first time this morning. I declare today that I will stand for my house. My family WILL serve the Lord

i had a alcohol addiction. i started going to church one day, n i felt something amazing inside, it made me cry uncontrollably. had me thinking about my drinking problem and i wanted to stop. all in a sudden i didn't have cravings anymore, i quit my job!! and found a christian workplace coincidentally and now im happy as i ever been!!!! god is amazing!!!!!!!! he can the impossible and if you have relationship w him, he will help you. just trust in him

i have 4 months clean and sober as of yesterday. I have done the 12 steps twice. i go to meetings everyday. i have experience a psychic change from God. i am eternally grateful to be sober and grow in love spiritually. god bless your recovery!!!

I am currently at odds with my wife. She mocks and makes fun of me, calling me "Jesus Boy" and hypocrite and is just flat out mean and nasty towards me. I don't know why she's so mad at God? It hurts me but I try not to lash back in anger. I believe she just doesn't understand that we are spirits having a human experience, not the other way around. I still praise God and pray that He softens her heart and removes the scales from her eyes. Please pray for us.

+Daniel Hirn so am I. Just stay strong and remember that you do not need anything more than Jesus Christ. I've walked away from him so many times and every time I came back. Every single time. Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. Come back to Christ and repent even after you fail. We are bound to fail. We will fail, the only difference is that our instinct should be to go back to Christ after failing. That is what makes us Christians. Hating sin and after committing it, turning back to God.

At the very point of desire don't waste time, SING TO THE LORD and go deep in praise and worship, one song or two will do and the burning desire will fade away. That is the only way that all your senses are focused on Him and you realize Jesus true power, then temptation fades away, and you get this feeling of victory that feels so good! But the miracle is that once you overcome the first big wave of temptation, and the second, the third then this temptation will go away for good! You can then look at a lustful picture and just ignore it or willingly go back to old habits, but at this time you will be strong enough to decide. All it takes is to overcome the first strong waves of temptation, and you will be free from porn addiction forever. And if you like go online on youtube and find some atheists to respond to, and talk about God to him, attack them with all you know about the word of God, sometimes you will have to open a verse, so you go to verify a verse in the Bible, this is very powerful because you are working with the Holy Spirit and your mind is focused on God's word. I promise you all it takes is praise and worship to be freed from porn addiction. So you have two decisions in front of you, Jesus or porn, this is the time that you really need Jesus, you can walk away and reject Him at this moment and you fall into temptation or experience the victory. So each time i'm tempted, it's time for praise and worship. Works every time! Then if you have time, read a page in the Bible, but worshipping God during these turbulence times, is key to defeat "pornful" desires! You can try everything else, and it won't work, only true submission in worship to God will. You should also avoid sensual and worldly things, that keep on feeding your mind which weaken your strength and senses. You need to leave worldy music, and movies, i know it's tough but these things are the very reason that defeat a christian, they are made to make us fall. It's amazing how everything is working against us, but since you are a christian and i'm glad you are, it is not difficult for me to explain, and i know all this makes a lot of sense to you. God bless you brother, you are one of us and we love you. Keep on fighting the good fight. Make Jesus proud of you. And one more thing, you need to get married to a good woman, that is the reason you need a wife because you long to be with a woman, the reason God made a suitable partner for you. Don't waste this, you need your other half.

I'm so happy to hear that, Sean. I made a similar prayer before I met my husband. I was sick and tired of falling for the wrong guy. I was at one point at the end of my resources and cried out, Lord, choose me the next one! And please, let it be THE ONE, and let it be FOREVER. Just months after my heartfelt (and heartbroken!) prayer, I met my husband. We've been together since 1999, married in 2004 and have a precious son. God answers prayers! And he's a born-again Christian!

The guy that struggled with drugs in the video must have thought or been tempted by the thought of "one more, then I'll surrender", but he said "No, I'm doing this right now. Take it all, Lord!" I almost slipped back into my temptation just minutes before playing this, and I'm saying the same thing. "I'm done living in deception. I'm tearing down the things that I have loved more than my savior. I will serve the Lord!" Could y'all pray for me and all those struggling with any temptation?

Please pray fo me too as lately am under some serious tests n temptation which is eating me up like hell. When i think of spending sum valuable time fo meditation n spending sum time talking to my Lord, i am hit with sum evil spirit dat separates me from gettin closer to Lord n make me fall prey to sum unproductive things. I have had this problem even before but somehow ive tried fighting these problem back then but lately it seems kinda difficult n uncontrollable n forbids me from doing what am supposed to do n miserably makes me fall weak n easily come in contact with the evil one.

Allen Jacob Brother, you're not alone. My priest told me that even though we fall and we feel like we lose our identity in our savior, we have to remember just who we are to our Lord. We are sons and daughters of the one true King. When I fall short of living the way I ought to live, I feel bad and separated from God, but then I'm reminded of who I am, and that I am going to fall and that is the reason Christ died for me. I will certainly pray for you and others who face similar or different struggles and evils in life, that the Lord might help you be rid of it. Remember this; we are called to take up our crosses and follow Jesus every day. Our crosses, just like the cross Jesus carried are heavy with sin, but also like Christ, He carried it to end of his life. We are called to carry a cross full of sin and follow Jesus in hopes that the causes of our downfall might be the means of our salvation.

Been amazed by the response on here! Thought I would give an update. In that single moment when I listened to this song before my addiction was broken. This does not mean there was no temptation to continue. There was certainly still the habit of it that made me want to return to it. But for the first time in many years I felt like I had a choice to say no. In my new found God given freedom I have been faithful to my commitment to serve the Lord. Philippians 1:6 I am holding firm to this.

Its my desire 2 happen in my family, i believe it wil happen now this year that i wil not b alone anymore serving the Lord but me and my house we will serve the Lord. In Jesus name. Amen!

I first listened to this song in my mother's iPhone 4s a few years back(I think about 4). I didn't know much English back then but I understood the chorus and the music was cool. I finally found it. It feels so odd remembering the days when I used to listen to this. What a blessing. I'm 17 now. Good memories.
