I got one recently after using cheyennes and I loved those but the arx is amazing. I got an acus too and the arx blows it out the water. I hate it when people say it’s like a cheat code for tattooing but this is probably as close to that feeling I’m ever going to get.

I own the 4.2 version and I love it! Feels and works absolutely great. Bought it after I've seen your unboxing video. Thanks for introducing it 🤙

Great content mate! so now i am curious! you have the prime 3.5 aswell, how does they compare? would it be the worth while to get this one when i have the prime 3.5

Thanks. Honestly they are very different machines in how they feel when using them that’s down to the motor and the drive mechanism. Both do a good job of tattooing so it’s all down to what you prefer. While the arx wave has the weighted grip and the neat features on the power supply the prime has the ability to open the machine up and clean etc and also have disposable grips. From my experience in using them, both machines can line anything from a 3rl up to a 21 open liner with a 3.5mm stroke. They can both push a 27mag (Cheyenne). However, I have tested and the arx is able to push a 39mag where as I found the 3.5 prime did struggle getting saturation. If you have the prime 3.5 and are looking for another machine then I’d possibly consider getting a 4.2mm stroke just so you have a more varied stroke length added to you machines.

Chris you have to get one of these in to review……magnetic drive system 🤯 I watched the video a few days ago and if it works then my critical torque is getting mothballed, I also picked up the prime critical for my apprentice last month after seeing it had dropped and I used it the other day to see and it’s a great bit of kit 👍🏼 kzread.info/dash/bejne/qGeNzKWSiZufp7A.htmlsi=luDk7j3eADRFk77U looking forward to your thoughts

I’ve actually spent some time looking into these machines. For me I feel that while the magnetic system could be an option, there’s way too many flaws in the design. The needle adjustment seems very awkward, the needle protrusion leaves it open for contamination, a 9v battery just seems counter intuitive. Honest opinion, I think it’s one of them machines that would be great for a few days, then you would just get annoyed and go back using what you usually use. :)

@@ThatTattooShow wow so stick to my rolls Royce then (critical torque) your opinion matters so I’ll skip the planned purchase until I’ve seen some longevity from the thing, the Arx waves power supply versatility look like a huge step in the right direction can you see the next critical having similar features?
