Thanks for tutorial, Can I change AP505 from controller to instant on firmware

Hi! Is it possible to get into these advanced settings in my Aruba AP11D? Can't find documentation how can I do it?

You connect to the virtual controller go into RF and choose show advanced options.

Do APs need to be reset to move from one room to another? Still on the same network.

They absolutely do not need to be reset to be moved especially if they are staying on the same network. When the AP is booting, the first thing it will do is search the local network for an existing Virtual Controller. If it finds one, which in this case it would, the AP will rejoin the AP swarm and resume broadcasting the SSIDs that are configured on the Master AP/Virtual Controller.

can you tell me why my aruba ap-515 wont show up over POE but do show up when using the dc power pack?
