Kid jumped 3 levels in 3 years while being on NA ice and adapting to different systems and a new culture change and more than held his own. Honestly its pretty remarkable. His development has been rapid

lev seems like a good kid. enjoyed the frank "the laser" nazar comment!! that being said, i don't see him being worthy of going 2nd overall. nothing i've seen illustrates that lev is the clear cut top pick in this draft if not for celebrini. he doesn't stand head and shoulders above the rest of the top def. prospects in this draft (like hedman or dahlin for ex.). imo, there have been many more top line russian forwards to find success in the nhl than there's been top line def. in this situation, occam's razor tells you ivan "bpa" demidov is the choice at #2 for the hawks.

The guy seems superchill He doesn't take himself too seriously and seems to just have fun with it and take it all in. Also think that this is like his 3 language.

This dude in very talented. He has a lot of tools. But, he will require a TON of coaching to reach his potential. He is at least 3 years away from the NHL. And once he gets to the NHL, he will require years of development to reach his potential. I hope the team that drafts him and the fans are patient with him. For purely hockey, its not as complicated with Demidov. He is clearly special, he won't require the same level of coaching to reach his potential.

Rumors say he might be 21-22 . No 👎 way he is 18.
Really hope Anaheim stays far away from this guy. Everything about him screams long term project. Not impressed with his skating or his IQ. His shot is not impressive

What? I want Dem at 2 but if we don’t pick him I’m hoping they pick Lev. One of his best skills is literally his skating and his decision making does need some work he was literally in a terrible hockey league 2 years ago and has only been in the US for 2 years dudes got great potential
