This is a cover of Cyntia Erivo’s that was in the soundtrack for the movie about Harriet Tubman, who helped free many slaves in the Underground Railway. Gabriel sang this several years ago and I did not think Gabriel’s first version of Stand Up could have been surpassed, but I have just been proven wrong with this stunning performance. The choir and band added so much and Gabriel keeps upping his game! I’m “on my feet” cheering for everyone who participated in this rooftop masterpiece!

This must be his 4th or 5th version of this song, never the same and often much better. Do you remember the short version of “Stand Up” Gabriel posted on the networks last year, during his rehearsals for the AGT ??? In my opinion, and that of many other fans, it was even more Exceptional than anything else. It lasts less than a minute, but it's a vocal delight of melodic whistle fireworks and head-spinning runs....💦💥
