I am so impressed with how Gabriel and his team brought all that into this song. His father wailing on guitar. His friend keeping that steady drumbeat. His brother and friend adding texture on bass and piano. And that choir, adding that note of despair you would hear on that perilous journey. Watch the movie "Harriet". Cynthia Erivo who wrote this, stars in the film. This song was nominated for an Academy Award as well. She sings on Broadway and heard his first version and loved it. He is amazing!
