I did a lawn renovation, using tall fescue it came out buetiful, did all the labor myself with the help of my nefew and renting equipment,still expensive project even when saving for contractors crew...but I didn't have shade trees in my front yard so it died and I watered regularly, with my well water but summer in tx was over 100 degrees...now I am thinking of going with turf...but man I shure miss my tall fescue,fluffy lawn 😢 for the months being

You can't truly review different turf products if you don't know anything about the manufacturing process. I see two glaring issues with the reviewed products here: 1.) Home Depot doesn't have their own brand of turf - they're a distributor. The turf that they carry can change by geography and over time. 2.) LITA and Pet Zen turf is made in China and doesn't have the same quality as American made artificial grass. That stuff gets discolored and starts falling apart extremely quickly when sitting in the sun all day because it's made of inferior resins. We implore anyone interested in turfing their yard to do their due diligence on where turf is created and really shop around. This is not a product to go cheap on...if you want something that is safe for your family, pets, and that will last more than a few years, you really need to go with an American made product and an American provider that can stand behind their product with a strong warranty. Remember: a warranty is only as good as the company giving it!

I have finally relented....super big oak tree covering up 75% of backyard throughout day...grass (St augustine) just wants to die when it rains heavily in South Florida (like alot) it kills the grass, brown spots, bare spots, ants, cinch worms...Probably bad drainage and way too much sand that was yhere originally when I bought the place a couple of years ago. I also water with city water, because I dont have a sprinkler with wellwater, just too much....dont have a huge back yard...could this be just be the alterantive, I've been looking for??

We are looking for artificial grass for backyard, no pets, occasional children! I was disappointed in that no mention was made about price, I would like to have seen a price/quality comparison. Also I think they kept showing the same pics, so not sure if I was seeing the different kinds. Appreciate the mention of VOC's I never even gave that a thought, so now have something to ask about that makes it sound like I have a clue about what I am talking about, thanks!

What type of artificial grass would you suggest for a concrete porch? The ground (porch) btw, is level and sound. Also, do I need to nail it or glue it down and if so, what sort of nails/glue do I need to use?

Thanks Oliver for taking the time to reply to my question. I wanted to install it on my front porch and 5 steps that lead to the top of the porch. The porch itself is not very big; approx. 4' x 8'. The concrete (ground) is level and sound. I was wondering if I could use all purpose or construction adhesive since it will collect snow during winter and water when it rains. Thanks again.

Hey. Just made a video on why you might want a blade fibre that is S or W shaped to help with the constant foot traffic of all the little soccer players. Helps keep the blades up.

I wish they would do one specifically on putting green surfaces.

For programming, should generate sunlight, ground, wind etc. chaotic change and repetition cycle for natural stone, grass, stone, wood cuts etc. Wood for example, different conditions, branch patterns, annual changes, different cuts, wear etc. Surface libraries, would do self, should learn more. Think, a lot work for many, Nice 😅 think most artificial = too even, too ”perfect” = innatural and hoaxy, too smooth. Even birch when too branchless, not Nice any More. Eye cant see because focal points missing. I = eye😅

Blows my mind that artificial turf is $8-10 per sq ft installed 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️. I’m in the wrong business !!!

Of course you can. Be sure to add extra sand on the grass so your tires don't slip. I drive my 4x4 on it all the time

So how is this realistic if you're showing the same photos of grass for 2 (or more) types of grass products? The photos should ONLY be of whatever grass is being discussed/promoted...otherwise it's quite useless (and deceptive).

It’s 8-10$ a square foot. Real grass is a fraction of the price.
