If Artie Lange's sobriety keeps up, the power of his story as a motivational speaker to addicts would be immense. Not only because he's hilarious, but because the depth and length of his addiction was about as extreme as any junkie that lived to tell the tale.

In the late 90s I laid in a hospital bed dying from a disease that I was dealing with for many years I was so depressed.... I was seriously wanting to die..... I remember a Saturday night sitting up in my bed and began to watch Mad TV I watched a skit with Artie called that's my white mama... I was crying laughing I know it doesn't seem like much but it seriously made me feel so good inside to laugh... I beat that disease thank God and lived to listen to Artie on Howard Stern.... I wish I could tell him how much he helped me that night even though he had no idea who I was.... listening to him on the Howard Stern Show was the greatest..... I wish nothing but the best for you brother we all love you

Shane E I get it. Good you got off, look up dr. Olivier Amisen I tried so hard 3 or 4 years ago to write Artie, about high doses of Baclofen and it cures opiates, meth, Coke, alcohol, and even gambling sex and shopping addiction. He used to have a website but he passed at 57 and was a cardiac surgeon. And he used himself as a guinea pig and it makes me angry that the US refuses to use it and the Swiss program of maintenance. This guy discovered a 70 percent cure, and used in by using high doses with your body weight. It is a freaking miracle.

Especially 'Crash and Burn' when i was in a dark place. To see you bouncing back like this, from all those things u experienced ? Its just great ! I admire you for pushing trough all the way to where you are now. You showed all those haters, (some semi "famous" guys, like those two sneaky radio ravens who were screaming: "Artie end up dead', 'Artie is a junky' etc. They said the most low and vile things. You proved them all wrong. And im glad you did ! Good to hear and see ure more healthy as before, and i hope you can kickstart ur carreer again. Im sure you can and will. The following is wrong: I agree, not to mention that Howard has turned into a Hollywood bleeding heart liberal.

Artie looks and sounds great! He will get surgery on his nose and will continue to feel better about himself. He has A LOT of people around him who love him so he WILL stay well as he begins to love himself and realize he's worth all the trouble. God Bless you Artie! One day at a time...you can do it!!

Artie could be such an inspiration for so many addicts if he could figure things out. He has so much charisma and is so likeable when he's clean. It's a very tough battle he's fighting though and that's the most important thing for him. Hope he can stay strong.

Artie I have had long periods of recovery followed by bad relapses. Staying clean and sober is possible and I wish you the willingness to do so...

Artie was what made Sterns show Great again. His show hasn't been the same since Artie left. He was always my favorite to listen to on there. I hope the guy can finally beat his demons.
