My mother attended a concert in 1943 in Washington where AR played with the Boston and Koussevitzky. Constitution Hall. She recounted the experience one morning in the 1960s when we saw AR play on the Today Show. She was almost in tears recalling the experience.
The supreme maestro, especially as a Chopin player. As a pianist, Rubinstein consistently inspires me to make music.
around this time he played in Jerusalem in one evening concertos by Mozart, Brahms, and Chopin, if I remember right, and three encores, one of them this polonaise, a beautiful Mazurka, it was intoxicating, I was about 18 years old. Unforgettable, until it is time to forget everything.
singing hands....he is ALWAYS singing, always

Hahahaha. Thank you! You cracked me up like a nut! Sir/Madame
Chopin to najpiękniejsza spuścizna dla ludzkości.
Arthur Rubinsten's technique on the piano is perfect and it suits his excellent way of expression and interpretation of chopin which proves and emphasizes Rubisten' s outstanding talent as well as chopin's Genius.
rubinstein's playing is so so natural you expect a wrong note any minute. it sounds all so unrehearsed. Magnificent

Best tribute to his heritage. Did more for Poland that countless many. Maestro without equal.
Pure delight! Magical!
I had the great pleasure to hear AR in recital at UCLA in early 1967 at Royce Hall...That appearance of effortless musicality has almost completely vanished from the Bang-Bang school of piano-playing....AR actually practiced/rehearsed a LOT. However he had an amazing memory. The anecdote about being awakened in the middle of the night, and being able to play any of several dozen concerti was no exaggeration. Those who think that he skimped on practice should look up and READ accounts of the family by his son, John....

Both of you are accurate! Of course, it made-it seem that more impressive, if you really believed him stating that he obtained those results without much work! But even-he admitted that he worked harder after feeling compelled to, as a result of marriage and fatherhood. You know: All about leaving a worthy heritage and all of that! He was so opposed to meaningless repetitive type practice. And, for sure the his natural gifts made up for much!
Un tesoro 😍 que encontré. Rubinstein.
A real genius...
This is a wonderful video. I find myself virtually hypnotized by Rubinstein's playing. The only downside is the VERY POORLY PLACED ADS which interrupt the music at really annoying times!
Spectacular Polonaise!
Diversa l'esecuzione fra Rubinstein ed Horowitz. Due geni della Musica che dovrebbero avere il dono della immortalità.
this video should have a 1 billion views and 1 billion thump-ups

Fabuloso concierto de piano!

The Giant of Piano! The most beautiful version is Stanislav Igolinsky who is better than Lipatti! Lipatti played Chopin no 1 of course!
Porfavor que alguien lo pase a COLOR..!!!!
Poor Zubin never understood that even the fortes in chopin must still be elegant. NOT a hammer at the anvil.

What a pity this wonderful piece of music has to be interrupted every few minutes with a damn advert
Жалкие остатки от первого концерта !
Está muy grande el anuncio.
a fucking advert came up in the middle of the seconde movement. what the fuck ? Man
i dont understand any of this.. how am i gonna answer this module!! Damnnn
I love the ending part of the polonaise in A flat...... the wrong chord sounds improvised ..... Rubinstein's version 🤣 with few wrong notes
And so what do these faces that mehta pulls mean ? Anyone know ? Is he angry or do we come in now or go out ? Toscanini never pulled any faces. It was all in the arm and rehearsals and work work work. No sacred cows there!
Goggle's red pay Bullies just interrupted the first movement with not 1 but 2 advs. Like Putin and the Ukraine, bullying me does NOT work. What can we do to stop it?? For one, I will NEVER subscribe and will start writing to companies whose advs appear!
Revelation 22:12 "Behold,I come quickly, and My reward is with Me,to give to everyone according to their works." REPENT AND BELIEVE!! FOR HIS KINGDOM IS AT HAND!!! Did you know that Chopin himself stated that if he had the Physical Power he would break Many Strings Playing his famous Polonaise with the FORTE'S he envisioned for it!! He envied his friend Liszt because he had that Great Physical Power!!! There are times when Chopin wanted the performer to play it ALL OUT... nuance was moved to the back!!! The Military Polonaise is another example!!! Chopin's Sun was in Pisces but its been thought that his Rising Sign was ARIES the Warrior, Ultra Yang Energy!
