I know a lot of people have ridiculed this over the years - but I don’t think people get what they were trying to do at the time. What two GREAT ‘sports’ they were to do it - and it actually charted! I couldn’t stop laughing - especially the long verse where Hylda is getting all the words wrong as she sits Arthur in the Fairground Car! LOL

This performance comes across as sweet and kind of nice. Even if this was intended and planned and performed as pure comedy, something pleasant and agreeable came shining through. Could be something about the man's facial expressions and postures. The raunch and aggression of the original version is gone, and this is about two people expressing affection for each other. I would like to thank the producer of this youtube channel. I have enjoyed this (Note: have never seen these two performers before. I'm contributing this comment from the US).
