I learned so much from a man who never existed. Love you Arthur.

Arthur reminds me of my dad strong determined brave and very smart but my dad ended up with liver cancer and he fought it for 10 years and he still worked even though he was basically dying but he was doing it so we could have money to keep paying our rent and in this time he saved my mum from being bashed by some bikers and he saved her and i always looked up to him and he passed away in 2017 and his fight came to an end but he didnt die invane and when i bought rdr2 and got to now arthur then when he died i full on had a mental breakdown and couldn't sleep for days because it was like watching my dad pass away again and i dont talk about this alot but this community is great and i love it and that is why i chose to share my story with all you amazing people thank u From jack R

I LOVE THE LAST OF US and im siked about this sequal. I can only imagine what Naughty Dog will have in store. But come on dude can you really say that this story to hit you like a bag of bricks more than the last of us??? And ill repeat I LOVED LOVED LOVED The Last of Us, but the feeling for the characters and there relationships with each other as POWERFUL as they were...was not as powerful as Arthur Morgans new found respect for his life and the people in it, including John Marston and the families of his victims. And the moral dilemma you face as Joel at the end of the game was SPECTACULAR....but was it more gut wrenching than Arthur Morgan inching closer to drawing his last breathe....I don't think so. Now of coarse this just my own opinion but im not knocking the last of us in anyway...im just PRAISING Red Dead Redemption 2.

I played the last of us for the first time recently and it was very emotional. Rdr2 however made my eyes water and I almost cried at Arthur’s confession and the TB ending (the one I got). I wish I could forget about rdr2 and play it all over again. The fact that everyone’s Arthur is different and that we all made different choices and had our own adventures is what makes Arthur truly unique as a protagonist. Tlou2 will definitely be an amazing game but I haven’t been the same since I finished rdr2.

I'm a die hard red dead fan who played the first one 5 years ago and even that one made me cry,and I knew the 2nd would too

I found what Arthur told that Nun about being afraid to die one of the saddest things to be said in a game where the character draws you in. A lot of other games don't do that and have that much writing into a character. I even thought Dutch was out for himself anyway before Micah even came on the scene he was out for himself and was egotistic usually I don't take killing lightly in a game but killing that rat felt good even if Arthur in the end didn't care for revenge it felt good avenging him

Same here! I always choose to spare characters when I can, but when Sadie came to my ranch to tell me that she'd found Micah, I gritted the teeth and didn't release them until I got to the mountain. There was four people riding to avenge Arthur: Sadie, Charles, John, and me.

He only began to live when he knew his life was over. Beautifully tragic. The best video game anti-hero...ever.

I had a save point before Arthur died and I replayed it. At the time it was like a treasure. The save point was the only save I had as Arthur, so I reloaded it. When Arthur first popped up on the screen with the ambient sound of chirping, swaying fir trees, and gentle river waters, I immediately broke down and cried. I saw my old gold cremello horse and Arthur’s beautiful face. ♡

This is the game of the decade period. Every character has a story, Arthur and the gang feel so human and relatable. When Arthur does it feels so real, everything just feels all right with this game.

when Arthur said "we aint both gonna make it" both made me sad and gave me goosebumps

Towards the end when John says, "You're my brother!" and Arthur replies, "..I know...I know!" Had my eyes watering lol

I don’t think anyone could understand the bond that players grow playing as Arthur, and the pain it causes to see him go. I can’t put into words how much I care for Arthur, even as a non real person. He is a person you want to have a connection with. We all need a person like Arthur in our lives. He’s a good man, you don’t see that a lot. It makes me sad to see him sick or any of these videos. Rest softly Arthur Morgan.

I've watched a lot of the tributes and this one is still no doubt the best one. Arthur Morgan is as man as it gets and I respect that shit. Only a real man that's been through a lot of shit can understand that.

Games don't make me cry but this game made me, I knew what Red Dead Redemption 1 was but never played it, I heard how amazing Red Dead Redemption 2 was so I decided to get it, one of my best decisions, All the story missions and side missions, they made Arthur seem like a real person, not just Arthur but all the gang members, I liked Dutch so much and I didn't want him to descend into madness, sometimes I killed loads of people just because I was bored and when I was finished killing a lot of people I thought to myself, "I wonder what Arthur is thinking about this." Rockstar did an amazing job on this game.

I love this game so much, the way the characters are built up, the happy times, the victories, the presentation of the struggles, the heartbreak, the sorrow, the bond the gang shares, it all comes full circle, and in the end, we see a man, a man that fought his whole life, we see this man fight his final battle, we see this man relies his life and the people around him, we see that same man save the ones he loves, and as we see Arthur Morgan breath his last, he sees he had a good run, as he stares into the deers eyes, he reflects on John and his family, he knows he did what needed to be done. " I gave you all I had".

I keep trying to have a evil run but i can never bring myself to make arthur a bad guy.

It’s weird how much satisfaction and depression this game leaves at the same time a true heartbreaker but a true masterpiece

Arthur's journey was one of the best in video game history.

Arthur is an amazing character, he was a bad man, a murderer, a theif, and then he fell sick and started feeling remorse, the little good left in his heart started to blossom. The game most definitely lives up to its name.

Saw the ending before I completed the game but that last ride still hit me hard knowing that was the last time

Arthur Morgan wasn't the best man, but he did his best to make amends for the mistakes he made. And that is what redemption truly is. He had chances time and time again to run away from his hardships but he knew what he had to do, and accepting his fate that he was going to die was the bravest thing he could do. And Arthur decided that his death wouldn't be in vain. That his legacy, for better or worse, would be passed. Arthur Morgan is hands down the most righteous character in fiction. *Rest* *in* *Peace* along with those who have been with you through this journey.

I'll never forget the memory of playing this game with my brother in 2018. Much simpler times but nonetheless life goes on.

This game came out in 2018 its 2021 but still i come back to this game. No reason why may be this is masterpiece like no other game out there is.
