When I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer in late 2017 I remember leaving my oncologist's office, feeling destroyed, dismayed, and not knowing how much longer I had in this world. As I left his office I was caught in a rain shower while the sun was shining through the sky as bright as it would be on a hot summer day. I got in my car and paused for a few minutes while I watched the sun, clouds, and this marvelous rain shower all mixing in the sky above. I always remember that day and it reminds me what a gift it is to see God's hand at work in this world. I started the car and a moment later CCR's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" started playing on my playlist just as the rain tapered off. Dibesh (Arthur), thank you for your gift of music. In the words of Bob Marley, "One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain." Thank you again for sharing your talent with us.

arthur... i'm a kansas native my whole life. had idol on while working around the house. as your audition began i could hear the heart and humility in your voice and stopped to watch. wow... brought me to tears... good tears. putting ourselves 'out there' and on display can be tough. and then to also open ourselves up to critique/criticism (especially being vulnerable with the passion of our hearts) can be overwhelming and paralyzing. it prevents most from ever fully pursuing the true passion in their heart. kudos to your man... for taking that risk... for taking that chance... and for sharing your gift. you are truly blessed with so much talent and ability. your musical gifting is 'pretty good' and will no doubt serve you well. but arthur your gifting, strength, and quiet courage to chase after and purse the passion in your heart... well those areas of gifting/blessing in your life are inspiring and encouraging. i believe there were people watching that night who needed to see you and hear you sharing your journey thus far. in an america that can seem so segmented by opposing views and opinions hearing you describe your path to 'winding up in wichita ks'... wow! your america is the one i'm proud to be a part of. i'm just a kansas kid... and watching you step from a backyard stage in wichita to a big stage in front of the world was inspiring! I will never watch American Idol again, I will never tune to ABC channel again. Arthur Gunn is a master at arrangements, he sings at the heights of Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and many other giants. He absolutely creative and makes his arrangements look incredible. Millions of people cry like Lionel did when he sings. Dante is absolutely correct, it was American Idol's biggest mistake not having him win.

my mum passed away and this will be played in honour of her, she enjoyed this song very much and it brought a smile on her face and mine. The beauty of her was unreal and i want to see her again but i know she is in heaven due to dream visitation, may she rest in peace 1977-2020 she will be proud of me, her 13 year old son.

I've watched many of your videos and I am a fan. There is an unpolished earthiness to you, not just your voice. It's smoky, gritty, pained and weathered and wise beyond your years. Like you have struggled and survived and earned the growl and wail in your voice. And yet, there is a gentle happiness and hopefulness underlying- as if you know that life is about joy and sorrow and we will get through it if we just embrace the experience for what it is. Even if you don't take away the Idol, as long as you remain authentic and organic and stay true to yourself and yourstory, you will indeed go very far. I hope you never lose that quality. Every time i hear this song, it reminds me of my dad. One of his favorite songs and we played this song at his memorial back in may 2022. This by far is the BEST cover of this song. You have an amazing talent!!!! Listening to this song automatically brings tears to my eyes. Is there any way to reach this artist on social media....etc? I would absolutely love to see if he could do another cover of one of my dads other favorite songs to play it on my dads 1 year anniversary of leaving us.

Well it doesn’t always go like that. I think they are going to push for the 16 yr old black girl( can’t remember her name) because she is along the style of Selena Gomez. She’s a little pop star who will appeal to lots of young people But I agree this guy is absolutely class and very likeable

Never heard this song till I saw a clip of Arthur Gunn on American Idol. I heard the original and heard his cover. I love the cover and this is now my favorite song. That voice is a GEM.

An amazing voice and someone you can tell really enjoys singing. It's now on my favorites list.

Can’t stand American Idol but my wife loves it. During the audition episodes, I saw this dude singing this song. I told my wife that he should win this competition hands down or at least get a good record deal from it. Keep singing brother

Gonna get personal here, but this is a song that played at both my grandpa and my dad’s funerals, a year apart from each other. They both absolutely loved CCR, and they’re why I still listen to CCR today. I hold this song extremely close to my heart, because of the meaning it has to me and my family as a whole. This is, next to the original obviously, the best version I’ve ever heard. Just wow, I’m absolutely amazed by your voice.

I'm sorry for your lost, I just lost my Dad not to long ago, and I just buried my older sister. That song is a big part of my life. I hold it in my heart. But, Yes he sang the hell out of it. I haven't cried since I put both of them in the ground. But I shead a few happy tears for them... Thanks for sharing your feelings.....

Slower and deeper version than American idol's .. I always got goosebumps listening to him.. it touches my heart and soul.. For me and I'm sure for many other people .. He's definitely the winner..no matter what happens!

Come across this yesterday, well stumbled across the audition. And when I heard this sound I was like WOW. And agree this is amazing cover and his voice is absolutely incredible.

I never watch American Idol. The year I watched., I found Arthur Gunn. What a voice! I can't imagine listening to any other version of this song. He is an original. Waiting for more from Arthur!
