It's clear Mr. Blank wants to win, win now, and foster a culture that will continue to win even if his coordinators get plucked to go to other teams. Good lesson to learn from when Shannahan left.👍🏽

Get real. He's had at least 6-7 legit chances of a championship since he bought the team back in 2002: 2002 - Lost In Divisional 2004 - NFCCG Loss 2010 - Lost in Divisional (As #1 Seed) 2011 - Lost in Wild Card (Only put up 2 points against Eventual Champs) 2012 - NFCCG Loss (Their 3rd Best Chance IMO. Were better in '10) 2016 - Self-Explanatory 2017 - Lost In Divisional (Could've won if they ran the ball at the goal line, y'know, instead of throwing ALL 4 DOWNS) Sell The Team, Blank!!!

He’s right. The coaches they had on the team should’ve been given a closer look. Especially after the last 3 years. After seeing Arthur Smith’s first presser, 1st practice. Then, after watching his 1st few games. I could tell, back then. They made a mistake with this hire. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a coach deliberately sabotage his own coaching career, the way this dude did. The last 3 years was a total waste. That’s 3 years they’ll never get back.

So basically McKay dealings with the team this far was because "Blank" feel confident in the GM to run the team as a whole or he saw that help was needed to not rely on said "GM" up to this point. Everything up to this point "Blank" was ok with "McKay" overseeing, so it's not premature to think or say after the interview with "Morris" blank realize this time around "I don't need a micromanager" unlike before. That speaks volumes about "Morris" or more so his vision he pitched to "Blank" and "Terry". Yes games has to still be played to see what's coming from all of this, but I'm proud to see "Change" in general when it comes to this team.

Arthur Blank still has PTSD from when Mike Vick got locked up, so I think he's afraid to draft alpha aggressive players with some dawg in them. Until Arthur gets past that, he (and we) won't have a Super Bowl winning team. I'm not saying get a team full of convicts, but at least players with some edge to them. Outside of Jessie Bates, there are no leaders on this team, and they wouldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight.

He said he found several reasons to choose Raheem over Bill Belichick. What? He is asleep at the wheel. There is not one reason he should be coach before Bill Bellichick. It is boneheaded decisions like this that is the reason they have not made the playoffs in 6 years. And it is pretty hard not to make the playoffs in six years with all the parity and the way the draft it set up. It takes real screwed up management to do this. I hate it because I have been pulling for them since age 6 over 49 years ago and have spent lots of money on them and have not enjoyed a superbowl yet! They will not win much with Raheem it will be another wasted 3 years and knowing how pathetic this ownership is they will probably drag this on for 5 plus years. He is what his record says he is! You don't hire a coach with a horrible losing record when you have not been to the playoffs in six years and you are 80 plus years old and trying to win a superbowl to cap your life off. Most horrible decision ever! Now Raheem might have grown since he coached last and I hope so. But unless they do not go get a veteren premier qb and premiere pass rusher they are not going any place. It would be hard for Raheem to mess this up if he gets those 2 things I mentioned, he already has 3 first round picks on the offense and Algier plays like one so basically 4!

I guess you heard Blank but didn’t LISTEN to what he said. To me it sounds like Raheem was chosen because he had a better plan to build a coaching staff that is going to last. Blank stated if you look around the league all the winning teams have coaching staffs coming and going and yet those teams are still consistently winning. Seems like Blank and company believe that Raheem has the best plan to make that happen. We won’t know what BB was planning but we can look at his past coordinators and see how they’ve done. Now we are seeing how busy Raheem has been building his new staff.

Oh I'll say it. They can call me whatever they want. They hated on Matt Ryan for his entire tenure even though he's a borderline HOF. If he was black, he would of been loved by everyone. There is nothing exciting about this off-season so far. HC hire was a terrible choice. All I see is " This is for the culture" or "black power". Thats a pretty racist way of thinking. Imagine if they hired a white HC and all the whites screamed "white power".. People would lose their mind and yell racism. Neither of the coordinators have playcalling experience in the NFL. HC has a losing record and even as a DC his defenses have been mid at best. Hoping for the best but common sense tells me that it's not going to end well. Even if the OC turns out to be good, he'll get a HC job in 2 years. Finding a good OC isn't easy to do so if he gets pulled to another team, the chances of finding another decent one is slim. What defensive minded HC is winning superbowls now a days? Exclude Belichick and you're essentially left with nothing, plus we all know Tom Brady played a huge part in it as well

@@Mike_M. Well then you can also throw in 1978, 80, 82 and 1991; however, my point was we CANT MAINTAIN CONSISTENCY! The ONLY consistant years we had were Matt Ryans years. And regarding all the other playoff years we have both mentioned, other than the Mat years, we'd win then have 2 to 3 more losing seasons; 1978 (first ever playoff year) 9-7 lost in divisional round 1979: 6-10 1980: 12-4 No.1 see NFC, lost to Dallas in Divisional round 1981: 7-9 Didn't even sniff the playoffs again until 1991: 10-6, (didn't even win division) then got beat 24-7 by the Redskins in divisional round. 1992: 6-10 Then no winning record or playoffs from 1992 until 1995: 9-7, lost in WC round Then no winning, or playoffs until the Super Bowl year 1998: 14-2 Then, 1999 we go 5-11 and again no winning or playoffs until 2002: 9-6-1. Lost to Philly in divisional round and then Vick breaks his leg in 2003. Then, 2004 we go 11-5, and lost to Philly in NFC Championship game. Then no consistant winning or playoffs until the Matt Ryan era in 2008. So, all of this ☝️ is why I said we always seem to stay in a process but never produce. And 19 coaches in 58 years is an average of a new HC every 3 years. No mind you, the firmer owners, the Smiths were cheap and didn't want to pay anyone to come here, and didn't want to pay Deion to stay, so he left even though he didn't want to. It really wasn't until Arthur Blank bought thr team that all that turned around, but I thunk now, at 81 years old, even HE has ran its course in terms of ownership! He basically had to be talked OUT of hiring Belichik from reports I heard. Regardless of whom is hired or not, we haven't had a consistant winning coach since Mike Smith, and before him Lemmen Bennett from the late 70s into early 80s. Yeah DQ and Dan Reeves are the lone asterisks bc they took us to Super Bowls, but even they couldn't maintain consistency. In comparison, the Steelers have only had THREE HCs since 1969. Chuck Knoll, Bill Cowher, Mike Tomlin and two of them retired and werent fired. We've had 19 in nearly that same span!

Race shouldn't matter 1 bit, its all about qualifications and winning games. Our new HC doesn't bring either to the table. Before someone cries "but hes won 2 superbowls" as a DC for the Rams his defenses were mid. He had all pro talent all over the defense the year the Rams won and their defense was still average at best for most games plus there was some terrible ref calls against the bengals that saved their asses. They better start the season off hot or its gonna get ugly real fast
